    摘要: There are provided a hybrid type developing apparatus and method. There is provided a hybrid type developing apparatus which forms a magnetic brush comprised of non-magnetic toner and a magnetic carrier on a circumference of a magnetic roller using a magnetic force, forms a uniform toner layer on the circumference of a roller by providing only toner from the magnetic roller to the donor roller, and develops an electrostatic latent image on an image receptor with the toner on the donor roller, the hybrid type developing apparatus comprising: a plurality of electrodes arrayed on the circumference of the donor roller; first and second brush electrodes located in an upstream area and a downstream area, respectively, of an area of the donor roller facing the magnetic roller, contacting some of the electrodes, wherein the upstream area and the downstream area are an upstream and a downstream of the rotation of the donor roller; and a bias applying device for applying a recovery bias to the first brush electrode to remove toner from the donor roller and a supply bias to the second brush electrode to supply toner from the magnetic roller to the donor roller.

    摘要: A method for developing a latent image formed on an image carrier with a developing liquid includes storing a liquid consisting of a developing substance and a carrier liquid developing and sensing the liquid fed from the liquid storing section thereon and sensing a liquid level in the liquid storing section using a liquid level sensor. The liquid level sensor includes a magnetic force generating member for generating a magnetic force, a magnetic force sensing device for sensing the magnetic force, and floats movable up and down in accordance with the liquid level in the liquid storing section. A distance between the magnetic force generating member and the magnetic force sensing device varies in accordance with the movement of the floats, allowing the liquid level to be determined on the basis of the output of the magnetic force sensing device. An image forming method including a developing device is also disclosed.

    摘要: A multi-color image formation apparatus that has multiple developed image formation devices, each corresponding to one color. Each of the developed image formation devices has a photosensitive member, charging apparatus that charges the photosensitive member, exposure apparatus that exposes the charged photosensitive member, and developing apparatus that supplies highly viscous and highly concentrated color liquid developing agent to the surface of the latent image on the photosensitive member. Each of the developed image formation devices is provided with transfer apparatus that sequentially transfers the developed images, each of which has been formed on the surface of the latent imgae on one of the photosensitive members, to the paper transported by the transfer belt and thereby forms a color image on the paper. An electrostatic latent image is formed on a photosensitive member such that a developed image corresponding to the desired print image remains on the developing agent bearing member.     摘要: A camshell type photoelectric color image printer includes a photoreceptor for holding a latent image on its surface, a charger for charging the surface of the photoreceptor, a laser writer for forming a latent image on the charged surface of the photoreceptor, plural developers for developing the latent image with color toners, a transfer drum for holding a recording sheet on which the developed latent image is transferred, a cleaner for cleaning residual toner on the photoreceptor, and a cartridge which holds the photoreceptor, the developers, the cleaner and the transfer unit. The developers are located under the photoreceptor, and the cartridge is removable from the color image printer. An upper part of the color image printer is movable relative to the main body of the printer. The transfer drum is located at an upper position of the photoreceptor in the printer, so that a recording sheet can be easily removed from the printer when the recording sheet is jammed in a circumferential portion of the transfer drum.
