摘要： A digital broadcasting system including a transmitting system and a receiving system, and a method of processing data are disclosed. A method of processing data of a transmitting system includes sequentially grouping N number of columns (Kc) configured of A number of enhanced data bytes having information included therein, thereby creating a frame having a size of N (rows)*Kc (columns), wherein N and A are integers, encoding the created frame, and multiplexing and transmitting enhanced data included in the encoded frame and main data.

摘要： A method for transmitting/receiving a broadcasting signal and a broadcasting signal receiver are disclosed. An identifier of a burst period is obtained from program table information of the broadcasting signal including mobile data and only the burst period in which a broadcasting program desired by a user is transmitted is received. Accordingly, when the broadcasting signal is received, only a desired burst period is received such that power consumption of the broadcasting signal receiver can be reduced.

摘要： A digital television (DTV) transmitter and a method of processing known data in the DTV transmitter are disclosed. The method of processing known data in a digital television (DTV) transmitter includes generating a known data sequence, trellis-encoding the known data sequence, the trellis-encoded known data sequence having upper, middle, and lower bits, wherein at least one of the upper, middle, and lower bits has an m-sequence property, and mapping the trellis-encoded known data sequence into one of 2-level, 4-level, and 8-level data sequences, wherein the mapped data sequence has substantially an m-sequence property, wherein a data sequence has an m-sequence property when a peak value among auto-correlation values of the data sequence having a length of N is 1 and all the off-peak auto-correlation values are −1/N.

摘要： A digital broadcasting system for transmitting/receiving a digital broadcasting signal and a data processing method are disclosed. First program table information and second program table information, which has an identifier different from an identifier of the first program information, are multiplexed and transmitted. The first program table information describes main service data through fixed reception channel, while the second program information described mobile service data through mobile reception channel. Thus, a broadcast receiving system can receive and output the mobile service data by parsing the second program table information.

An identifier of a cell is set in the broadcasting signal and, if the cell is changed, channel information of the changed cell can be obtained from program table information having the channel information of the cell.
