    Abstract: A cable broadcast receiver and a 3D video data processing method thereof are disclosed. The processing method includes receiving a cable broadcast signal including video data and SI, determining whether a 3D video service is provided through a channel by obtaining a 3D service ID from SI, obtaining 3D image format information indicating an image format of 3D video data from SI, and extracting 3D video data from the broadcast signal and decoding the extracted result. The broadcast receiver includes a receiving unit receiving a cable broadcast signal including video data and SI, a control unit determining whether a 3D video service is provided through a channel by obtaining a 3D service ID from the SI, and obtaining 3D image format information indicating an image format of 3D video data from the SI, and a video decoder extracting 3D video data from the broadcast signal, and decoding the extracted result.

    Abstract: Digital broadcast receiving method comprising receiving base and additional view video streams and stereoscopic characteristics information. The method comprising identifying a virtual channel carrying a 3D broadcast service delivering additional and base view video streams encoded using different codecs using a service type field, wherein the service type field is included in a TVCT of a PSIP in an ATSC-type digital broadcast and identifying a codec type of each of the base and the additional view video streams using a stream type field included in a PMT, wherein the stream type field is related to each of the base and the additional view video streams, and wherein a value of the stream type field indicates the codec type of each of the base and the additional view video streams. The method also comprising processing base and additional view video streams for supporting the 3D broadcast service using the TVCT.

    Abstract: A digital broadcast receiving apparatus for displaying a stereoscopic image comprises: a demultiplexing unit configured to demultiplex a received digital broadcast signal; a PSIP or PSI/SI processor configured to extract extension view video information from the demultiplexed digital broadcast signal; a decoder configured to decode an extension view video stream and a base view video stream from the demultiplexed digital broadcast signal; and an output formatting unit configured to format the extension view video stream and the base view video stream based on the extension view video information. The extension view video information may include at least any one of a relative position relationship between a camera which has generated the extension view video stream and a camera which has generated the base view video stream, the number of the extension view video streams, and information regarding an arrangement structure of the cameras. The relative position relationship may include at least any one of the direction in which the camera, which has generated the extension view video stream, is positioned and the degree of separation in the direction based on the camera which has generated the base view video stream. Accordingly, a signal for a stereoscopic image in a digital broadcast can be checked and processed, so a stereoscopic image can be displayed.

    Abstract: A digital broadcasting system and a data processing method are disclosed. A receiver receives a broadcast signal including mobile service data and main service data. A known data detector detects known data from the broadcast signal. An equalizer performs channel equalization on the mobile service data received by means of the detected known data. An RS frame decoder acquires an RS frame from the channel-equalized mobile service data. A management processor extracts a Generic Stream Encapsulation (GSE) packet from a GSE Base Band (BB) constructing one row of the RS frame, and calculates an IP datagram from the extracted GSE packet. A presentation processor displays broadcast data using data contained in the calculated IP datagram.
