Abstract: A generation Node B (gNB) configured for operating in a fifth generation (5G) system encodes a downlink control information (DCI) for transmission to a user equipment (UE). For slot-less operation the DCI may indicate a set of values for a data channel scheduling gap and hybrid automatic repeat request—acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) timing. The set of values may be defined for a symbol group including one or more symbols. The gNB may encode the data channel for transmission based on the one or more values. The data channel may be transmitted on the symbol group with slot-less operation and using a subframe or frame for reference timing.

Abstract: User equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications in an unlicensed spectrum, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling including configuration information identifying a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space set. The configuration information includes a PDCCH monitoring periodicity, a PDCCH monitoring offset, and a PDCCH monitoring duration associated with the PDCCH search space set. The PDCCH search space set is monitored for downlink control information (DCI) using the PDCCH monitoring periodicity, the PDCCH monitoring offset, and the PDCCH monitoring duration. Upon detecting the DCI within the monitored PDCCH search space set, a DCI format within the DCI is decoded.

Abstract: Systems and methods of reducing power consumption associated with paging or cDRX mode are described. A wake-up receiver (WUR) wakes up from an idle mode or cDRX state. Whether a wake-up signal (WUS) has been received by the WUR is determined. The WUS is a low-complexity signal that is less complicated than a PDCCH or PDSCH and is repeated multiple times at resource elements as indicated in a configuration from an eNB. If received, a baseband transceiver wakes up for reception of a PDCCH for the UE in a PO when the UE is in the idle mode or a PDSCH for the UE when the UE is in the cDRX state.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling to obtain a cyclic shift value in time domain. The cyclic shift value is associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) antenna port (AP) of a plurality of available DM-RS APs. A single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence corresponding to the DM-RS AP is generated using a base sequence and the cyclic shift value. The single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence is encoded with uplink data for transmission to a base station using a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using a carrier above the 52.6 GHz carrier frequency.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable for configured grant uplink (UL) transmission in new radio unlicensed (NR-U) is disclosed. The apparatus can comprise one or more processors. The one or more processors can be configured to select, at the UE, a hybrid automatic repeat request process identifier (HARQ process ID) from a set of HARQ IDs. The one or more processors can be configured to insert the HARQ process ID into uplink control information (UCI) on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The one or more processors can be configured to encode, at the UE, the UCI for transmission to a next generation node B (gNB) via a configured grant uplink transmission using the HARQ process ID.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for operation in a fifth-generation new radio (5GNR) system may multiplex high-priority (HP) hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledge (HARQ-ACK) bits corresponding to a first HARQ-ACK code-book with low-priority (LP) HARQ-ACK bits corresponding to a second HARQ-ACK codebook onto a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission to a gNode B (gNB). The UE may be configured with the first HARQ-ACK codebook and the second HARQ-ACK codebook of different priorities. Abstract: An apparatus and system to enable URLLC PUSCH repetitions in the unlicensed spectrum are described. The number of consecutive PUSCH repetitions indicated in the RRC parameter is reinterpreted as the number of transmission occasions over which the UE is able to attempt CCA. An orphan symbol is used to provide a DMRS transmission or cyclic prefix of the PUSCH transmission causing the orphan symbol. Whether a CG-UCI is piggybacked in a PUSCH transmission, and whether DCI-DFI is used, is dependent on whether cg-RetransmissionTimer is configured.
