Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to route network traffic using tiered affinity-based message routing are disclosed herein. An example method to select a destination endpoint for a message includes receiving a rule from a service provider, the rule specifying a set of destination endpoints associated with the service provider and the rule specifying a set of criteria to be used to select one of the destination endpoints for a message containing a data request. The method also includes sending the rule to a client service to be used to select the destination endpoint for the message based on a characteristic of the requested data.
Abstract:
A computer based system for maximizing revenue by determining an optimal quantity of a product to be sold is disclosed. The system determines the optimal number of seats to be sold for a flight based upon the flight's capacity and forecasted costs associated with the flight. The forecasting is based upon probabilistic distribution models takes into account passenger itinerary data, passenger and market historical data, whether a passenger has flown on a previous leg of an itinerary, the ripple denied boarding effect of reaccommodating a denied passenger. The system evaluates the potential effect of double selling a unit of inventory (e.g., seats). Downstream inventory control, revenue management and reservations systems may use the optimization data to affect the operation of the airline.
Abstract:
A system and method for applying an image to a substrate surface are disclosed. The method comprises receiving a set of color matrix maps representing color pixel overlays forming the image, effecting a positioning of a print head array relative to the substrate surface, the print head array comprising at least one print head having a plurality of nozzles, receiving real-time geometry data representing the print head array position and orientation in space, determining, in response to the real-time geometry data, the print head array position and orientation relative to the substrate surface, determining, in response to the print head array position and orientation relative to the substrate surface and the set of color matrix maps, a set of pixels to be applied by the print head array to the substrate surface, and generating instructions to the print head array, in response to the set of pixels to be applied, to actuate particular nozzles in the print head array to apply the set of pixels to the substrate surface.
Abstract:
A method and system for ensuring a stable application debugging environment via a unique hash code identifier is presented. The method includes the steps of appending a first timestamp to a first software file that is located in a client system, wherein the first timestamp indicates when the first software file was last modified; and comparing the first timestamp with a latest authorized first timestamp for the first software file.
Abstract:
A fabrication method of forming a thermoplastic composite laminate material with tailored and varying thickness in a continuous process. This process utilizes automated equipment or hand lay-up to collate parts or components into a multi-layer stack. Each stack contains all plies, including ply build-up areas, tacked in the proper location to maintain orientation and location. The consolidation tooling contains all necessary part features and is coordinated to the customized multiple ply stacks to form a single integrated thermoplastic composite laminate potentially having areas of differing thickness from these multiple ply stacks.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to methods for the treatment of adenocarcinomas that are characterized by the overexpression of a particular oncogene, Pim-1. The procedure involves administering a therapeutically effective amount of interleukin-10 that has been coupled to a carrier that increases its circulating plasma half-life.
Abstract:
A repair mechanism within a code management library system for repairing build code that is infected with malicious code. When a virus pattern is detected in a component of a source code, other components in the source code containing dependencies upon the first component are identified. This identification may be based on rules defined from relationships between the infected component and the other components in the source code. The component and the other components that are identified as having dependencies upon the infected component are retracted from the software product build. The infected component and the other identified components are then replaced with a previous archive of the code build. The software product build of the source code may then be performed.
Abstract:
A classification mechanism within the source code management system for customizing malicious code searches. This classification mechanism is used to limit the number of searches that are performed on incoming source code, as some malicious code searches may only need to be performed on particular modules, classes, components, etc. of the software product. When a library system is being set up to receive new source code, security classifications are created for the source code. Upon receiving the source code from a software developer, each component in the source code is associated to a security classification. A virus check is then performed on the components in the source code based on the associated security classifications. In this manner, only certain components may need to be checked for certain virus patterns, and other components may be checked for other virus patterns.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of chip design and package implementation for attenuating noise in timing circuits, including phase-locked-loops (PLL) and delay-locked-loops (DLL), are disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention attenuate coupled noise, such as the effects of ground current surges, or power supply noise coupling through electro-static discharge (ESD) structures. In known systems, the ground supplies for the timing circuits are designed with power and ground supplies, separate from the core power and ground; although the ground supplies are connected via common VSSsubstrate, they are separated from pad ring output driver power and ground supplies. In embodiments of the present invention, the PLL or DLL and core supplies are kept separate from the output driver power and ground supplies, providing for improved systems and methods that attenuate the effects of ground current surges from chip output drivers as they switch from logic highs to logic lows.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for medical monitoring physiological characteristics values such as blood glucose levels for the treatment of diabetes, are presented. The apparatuses and methods provide dynamic glucose monitoring functions that perform predictive analysis to anticipate harmful conditions, such as glucose crash and hyperglycemic incidents for a patient. The dynamic functions can also be used to maximize athletic performance and warn of inadequate nocturnal basal rate. Other aspects include advanced alarm and reminder functions, as well as advanced data presentation tools to further facilitate convenient and efficient management of various physiological conditions.
