    摘要: A method and system for measuring liquid conductivity utilizing an acoustic wave sensor. In general, an acoustic wave device can be provided with one or more interdigital transducers, including at least a first interdigital transducer and at least a second interdigital transducer having a cavity formed therebetween, wherein liquid comes into contact with the cavity. For example, a liquid, such as oil, may flow through the cavity. A measurement of the resistance and/or frequency of the acoustic wave device next to the cavity can be performed in order to obtain data indicative of the conductivity of the liquid.

    摘要: An acoustic wave sensor apparatus is disclosed, which generally includes a piezoelectric substrate having a surface thereon. One or more interdigital transducers and a passivation layer can be formed upon the piezoelectric substrate. Additionally, an absorbent material can be formed upon the acoustic path (IDTs, electrodes, etc), such that the interdigital transducers respond to a plurality of acoustic waves propagating across the surface of the piezoelectric substrate, thereby providing data indicative of humidity in the vicinity of the piezoelectric substrate, along with the passivation layer and the interdigital transducers. Additionally, one or more heaters can be formed upon a side of the piezoelectric substrate opposite the side of the piezoelectric substrate upon which the interdigital transducers, the passivation and the absorbent material are located. The heater can be preferably configured from a material such as platinum.

    摘要: Circuits for the restoration of a drooped signal are disclosed. In the asynchronous mode circuit, the drooped signal can be restored by detecting the peak of the positive amplitude and the peak of the negative amplitude and take the difference between the two peaks. This difference signal is fed back the equalizer. In the synchronous mode circuit, the drooped signal is sliced and passed to a regeneration circuit. The regeneration circuit uses reference voltage signals and phase information from the slicer to generate a regenerated signal. The regenerated signal is compared with the equalized signal to generate a difference signal, again fed back to the equalizer. The sliced signal is also fed to a clock recovery circuit which recovers the clock signal embedded in the received signal. The two circuits can be combined to provide an optimal circuit for the restoration of a drooped signal.

    摘要: Many sensors could be used in a passive wireless mode. These include RLC, acoustic wave and magneto-elastic sensors. These types of sensors are designed to exhibit a change in fundamental frequency when exposed to environmental factors such as temperature, pressure, or chemicals. An interrogation circuit can inductively couple to the sensor and measure the change in fundamental frequency. The change can be used to measure the environmental factor. Sensor sensitivity and inductive coupling efficiency can be competing design constraints. A driver, electrically connected to the sensor and inductively coupled to the interrogation circuit, can relax the constraints. The driver, however, can introduce noise into the sensor. The sensor can be shielded using physical and geometric techniques to reduce the noise.
