    Abstract: To provide a display capable of reducing each resistance of a drive electrode and a detection electrode, in the display which is provided with an input device having the drive electrode and the detection electrode formed on the same plane.A drive electrode includes a plurality of first electrode portions arranged in an X-axis direction, and a plurality of first connection portions each of which electrically connects the two first electrode portions adjacent to each other. A detection electrode includes a plurality of second electrode portions arranged in a Y-axis direction, and a plurality of second connection portions each of which electrically connects the two second electrode portions adjacent to each other. The first connection portion overlaps with the second connection portion in a planar view. Each of the first electrode portion and the second electrode portion contains metal or alloy, and has a mesh shape.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a touch sensor has a display function and a touch sensor function. The display device includes: a panel unit that comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, and a display function layer between the first substrate and the second substrate; a first electrode on the first substrate; a second electrode on the second substrate; a third electrode on the second substrate; and a capacitor for the touch sensor function. The capacitor is formed between either of the first electrode and the second electrode and the third electrode, or between both the first electrode and the second electrode and the third electrode. The frame portion outside the display area comprises, on the first substrate side thereof, a peripheral circuit, and the second electrode is provided in a position more distant upward from the peripheral circuit than the first electrode.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device has a first electrode, a second electrode and liquid crystal layer. When a voltage is not applied to the first and second electrodes, the major axes of the liquid crystal molecules are oriented in a third direction. When a voltage is applied between the first and second electrodes, the major axes are oriented so as to rise in a direction perpendicular to a first substrate while rotating clockwise in a vicinity of one of long sides of comb tooth portion that face each other and counterclockwise in a vicinity of the other of the long sides. An angle between an electrode base-side portion of a long side of each comb tooth portions and the third direction is larger than an angle between a distal end-side portion of the long side of each comb tooth portions and the third direction.

    Abstract: A sensor-equipped display device is provided. The sensor-equipped display device includes a display panel comprising a common electrode; a sensor comprising a plurality of detection electrodes extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, each of the detection electrodes including a first electrode and a second electrode which are opposed to the common electrode, are divided and extend in the first direction, each of the first electrode and the second electrode including a gradient in width in the first direction in the detection electrode, the gradient in width of the first electrode and the gradient in width of the second electrode being inclined in opposite directions; and a controller configured to effect switching to either a first mode or a second mode, and to control driving of the common electrode and the detection electrodes, wherein the sensor further comprises a dummy electrode disposed between neighboring detection electrodes.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes first, second, and third interconnects, switch elements, pixel electrodes, a display layer, and a controller. The switch elements are arranged in a matrix configuration, and connected to the first and second interconnects. The pixel electrodes are electrically connected to the switch elements. The third interconnects oppose the pixel electrodes. The display layer is provided on the pixel electrodes. The controller is electrically connected to the first, second, and third interconnects. The second interconnects include a first color interconnect. The controller performs a first operation of sequentially selecting the first interconnects and supplying a first color image signal to the first color interconnect. The controller performs a second operation of sequentially selecting the first interconnects and supplying a second color image signal to the first color interconnect. The controller performs a third operation being different from the first and second operations.

    Abstract: A sensor-equipped display device is provided and includes a display panel and a detection electrode. The panel includes a display area in which unit pixels are arranged in a matrix, each of unit pixels including subpixels. The electrode includes conductive line fragments arranged on a detection surface, and is configured to detect a contact of an object to the surface. The detection electrode has an electrode pattern formed of the line fragments on a grid defined by first and second lines. Extending directions of the first and second lines are tilted based on a first and second unit length of the unit pixel in the first and second direction.
