摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for communication among many coordinator-based wireless networks connected together through a wired backbone network using wired/wireless connecting devices. According to the method and apparatus, communication is allowed between wireless devices belonging to different coordinator-based wireless networks through wired/wireless connecting devices using physical addresses, whose uniqueness is ensured across the whole network, instead of using ID information assigned by a PNC, as physical addresses of a destination network device and a source belonging to different coordinator-based wireless networks.

摘要： A method of controlling a terminal of the MPEG-4 system to enable to faster reproduce the selected contents through a caching mechanism includes, if the contents to be reproduced is selected, the terminal of the MPEG-4 system receives an initial object descriptor of the selected contents from a server, and then determines an object of stream and the priority based on the initial object descriptor, object descriptor, and a scene description. A random object is stored in the cache at the point of reproducing the random object constituting the contents. If a final update time of the object stored in the cache is identical with that of the object existing in the server, the object requested to be reproduced from the cache is reproduced. Accordingly, the method makes it possible to more promptly reproduce the contents requested by a user and to provide more stable contents to the user.

摘要： A method of negotiating channel sharing between adjacent cells when there are a plurality of cells in a power line communication (PLC) network. The method includes attempting to negotiate the channel sharing during a minimum contention access period (CAP) which starts after a maximum beacon period ends and ends before a CAP of each PLC cell ends, wherein the maximum beacon period indicates a maximum size that a beacon frame in a super-frame transmitted from a coordinator of each PLC cell can have. When an attempt to negotiate the channel sharing is made using this method, interference does not occur during channel sharing negotiation, and effective channel sharing can be achieved, thereby eliminating interference between adjacent cells.
