Abstract: The present invention presents a filtration system with an integrated manifold valve. The filtration system employs only one pivotal component - the pivoting of the manifold. The manifold valve includes a dual aperture design for a two-fold alignment scheme with the ingress and egress lines of the fluid source. The invention is free of multi-component rotary valve with internal, rotatable parts, or an activation component, such as a handle, for initiating the rotary valve, allowing the user to rotate the rotational components thereof. The reduction in moveable components in this design reduces the likelihood of failure and increases the reliability of the filtration system.

Abstract: A reverse osmosis filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a floating key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter base may be situated inline, and in fluid communication, with the raw water ingress, permeate egress, and reject water egress. The reverse osmosis filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, the filter base by a push-actuated release. Upon insertion, the filter key shifts the filter lock longitudinally to receive interlocking segments. Upon extraction, the same axial push shifts the filter lock further to align the interlocking fingers within gaps that allow for easy extraction. The specific key lock design allows a user to identify and match certain filter configurations received by the mechanical support, and reject other filter configurations.

Abstract: A carafe filter cartridge for reverse flow applications where the filter housing and filter media top end cap directs unfiltered fluid into the filter media annular cavity, through the filter media sidewalls. And the filter media bottom end cap prohibits egress, filter fluid from exiting through the filter media end or the annular cavity. Filtered fluid is instead directed out through apertures in the filter housing sidewall. The optimum ratio of annular cavity and/or top end cap orifice area to the respective perimeter is determined to remove the risk of detrimental fluid flow due to air bubble generation.

Abstract: A collapsible bag or compressible bottle container for accepting, holding, and filtering fluid. Fluid is filtered upon entry to the container or filtered upon egress.
