摘要: The invention prevents inconveniences from being caused by ejection failure and unintended mixing of different colors. To this end, the invention performs preliminary ejection of ink after a wiping action to sweep mist adhering to a face of a printing head, in which an ejection opening is formed. Moreover, the amount of ink to be wastefully consumed by the preliminary ejection after the wiping is reduced. To this end, the number of preliminary ejections is regulated. The degree of adherence of mist to the ejection-opening-formed face depends on the amount of printing (the number of printed sheets, the number of ink ejections for printing, or the like). So, at the time of the preliminary ejection after the wiping, the number of ink ejections in the preliminary ejection is regulated in accordance with the amount of printing that has been done since the last wiping action.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to apply ink to a recording medium while reciprocating a print head with respect to the recording medium and a drying unit configured to apply energy for accelerating dryness to the recording medium to which the ink is applied by the print head. The drying unit applies a larger energy at edges of a range within which the printing unit moves on the recording medium than at a middle of the range.

摘要: A display driver for evenly display the screen driven by a plurality of driver circuits is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel driven by data lines and driver units. Each of the data lines is driven by the corresponding driver unit. Each of the driver units has a resistance division unit for generating grayscale voltages, an operational amplifier unit for supplying voltages to the terminals of the resistance division unit in response to a bias control signal. The corresponding terminals of the resistance division unit of the plurality of driver circuits are commonly connected. The bias control signal is supplied when each of the driver circuit drives the corresponding data line.

摘要: Predetermined voltage is applied to a liquid crystal lens by a liquid crystal lens driver. Image signals are generated based on an optical image passed through the liquid crystal lens during transient response operation caused by application of the predetermined voltage, and plural focus signals are extracted by sampling the image signals at predetermined cycles. Levels of the extracted autofocus signals are compared to determine the maximum value of the autofocus signal. Thus, with the liquid crystal lens, by making use of the transient response operation of the liquid crystal lens, a focus point can be detected in sufficient speed.

摘要: There is an object of providing a printing apparatus which can restrict a variation in ejection characteristic of an ink droplet due to a temperature change of a printing head to restrict degradation in an image. The printing apparatus adjusts temperatures of the print head to first and second temperature so as to measure ejection characteristics of the print head at the first and second temperature. Then, a driving condition is generated based on the measured ejection characteristics and a printing is performed based on the measured ejection characteristics.

摘要: In an inkjet printing apparatus which performs printing on a printing medium using an inkjet printhead for discharging ink, preliminary discharge, where ink discharge irrespective of printing is performed at the time of print execution, is performed under a predetermined condition to obtain information regarding a discharge state of the printhead. Based on the obtained information, an execution condition of the preliminary discharge is controlled. By virtue of this control, an execution condition (parameter) of the preliminary discharge can appropriately be controlled in accordance with the discharge state of the printhead, in which the ink drying state and the increased viscosity state of ink vary depending on individual differences, usage environment, usage histories (durability) and so on.

摘要: A hinge includes first hinge connectors having first shaft holes drilled and which are disposed at a rear of a synthetic resin case body that may contain a cosmetic material; a second hinge connector having a second shaft hole drilled and which is disposed at a rear of a synthetic resin lid that opens or closes with respect to the case body. The hinge also includes synthetic resin hinge shafts inserted through the first shaft holes, the second shaft hole, and two protruded fitting parts with a shape of a short cylinder disposed so as to project from end faces of the first hinge connectors and come in abutment with two U-shaped, recessed fitting parts disposed on end faces of the second hinge connector. The recessed fitting parts have an opening to a front side the lid, the opening having a width substantially equal to a diameter of the protruded fitting parts, the recessed fitting parts having a center of curvature that corresponds to a center of the second shaft hole and have a radius of curvature of substantially the same radius of curvature the protruded fitting parts. The hinge prevents shearing forces from acting on the hinge shafts and protects the hinge shafts against shearing fracture.

摘要: For a serial inkjet printing apparatus that performs printing by employing ink having different properties, the occurrence of smear is prevented without decreasing the printing speed more than necessary. A high duty area, i.e., a unit area for which a large amount of ink is applied, is detected in a preceding printing medium. Then, while taking into account the scanning direction (ink application order) in which the detected high duty area has been printed, the period until the following printing medium is permitted to contact the high duty area is determined. Then, during printing of the following printing medium, the printing operation is delayed, so that, within the determined period of time, the following printing medium does not contact the high duty area of the preceding printing medium.
