摘要: A golf ball 2 has a core, a mid layer and a cover. This mid layer comprises 10 parts by weight or greater and 70 parts by weight or less of a thermoplastic elastomer containing a styrene block having a material hardness of less than 10, and 30 parts by weight or greater and 90 parts by weight or less of an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer based ionomer resin having a material hardness of 50 or greater and 70 or less. Hardness of this mid layer is less than 40, and the thickness is equal to or less than 1.2 mm. This golf ball 2 has seven kinds of dimples (A to G), each having a different diameter. When all the dimples are arranged in decreasing order of the diameter Di, ratio (Dx/Dn) of the mean diameter Dx of the dimples ranking in the top 10% to the mean diameter Dn of the dimples ranking in the bottom 10% is equal to or greater than 1.30. Standard deviation η of diameters of all the dimples is equal to or less than 0.52.

The present invention provides a golf ball comprising: a core consisting of a center and one or more intermediate layers covering the center; and a cover covering the core, wherein at least one piece or one layer of said intermediate layers is formed from a highly elastic intermediate layer composition that contains (A) a highly elastic polyamide resin having a flexural modulus in a range from 700 MPa to 5,000 MPa; (B) a metal-neutralized product of ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer and (C) a resin having a polar functional group in a specific way.

摘要: The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a core and a cover covering the core, wherein the cover layer comprises a 3-dimensional shaped metal oxide having at least three needle-shaped parts. Blending the 3-dimensional shaped metal oxide into the cover layer enhances the rigidity of the resultant cover for the hardness thereof. In the case that the cover layer has the slab hardness of 57D or more in shore D hardness, this property can be used to enhance the resilience without lowering the shot feeling. On the other hand, in the case that the cover layer has the slab hardness less than 57D in shore D hardness, this property can be used to enhance the resilience without lowering the spin rate.

摘要: A golf ball with favorable rebound and flight performances without impairing durability, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. There are provided a golf ball having a solid core and a cover surrounding the solid core, characterized in that the solid core is composed of a vulcanizate of a rubber composition containing a microcapsule having sulfur coated with a thermoplastic resin, and a method of manufacturing the same. A blended amount of the sulfur in the microcapsule form is preferably 0.01–10 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component.

The ratio (S1/S2) between a summation S1 of surface areas s1 of all the dimples, and a summation S2 of the areas s2 of the regions cut away by the dimples on the phantom spherical face is equal to or greater than 1.02. Total value (Cb+Cc) of the amount of compressive deformation Cb of the golf ball 1 and the amount of compressive deformation Cc of the core is equal to or greater than 7.0 mm.

摘要: Golf ball 1 includes a core 2 and a cover 3. The core 2 has two layers including a center 4 and a mid layer 5. The mid layer 5 is formed by covering the center 4 with two half shells comprising a rubber composition, and by compression and heating of the center 4 and half shells in a mold. The rubber composition contains solid particles dispersed therein. The solid particles have a ratio “D/T”, i.e., a ratio of the particle size D to the thickness of the mid layer T, of equal to or greater than 0.3. Upon molding, the solid particles inhibit the center 4 to approach a cavity face. Accordingly, deviation of mass of the mid layer 5 can be suppressed. The solid particles have a ratio “W/T”, i.e., a ratio of the radial width W thereof to the thickness of the mid layer T, of from 0.3 to 1.0.
