摘要： A light source lamp unit (10) includes a light source lamp (11), an ellipsoidal reflector (12) and a plate body (19). The plate body (19) is provided behind the reflector (12) with a gap kept therebetween, which has a shape corresponding to the profile of a reflecting portion (122) of the reflector (12). A cooling channel for passing a cooling air is formed between the plate body (19) and the reflector (12). The width of the cooling channel in a direction along an optical axis of the light source lamp (11) is minimized at a part near a neck portion (121) of the reflecting portion (122) and enlarged toward the peripheral edge of the reflecting portion (122) of the reflector (12).

摘要： A discharge-lamp lighting apparatus includes a control circuit that determines electric power supplied to a high-pressure discharge lamp after the high-pressure discharge lamp is started by an igniter. The electric power is determined in accordance with a voltage corresponding to a lamp voltage detected by a voltage detection circuit and a drive current detected by a current detection circuit. When the determined electric power is less than predetermined electric power, the control circuit causes a down chopper to control the drive current such that an amount of increase in the electric power per unit time becomes equal to or less than a predetermined value.

摘要： In a lamp device provided with an arc tube, a principal reflection mirror, and a sub-mirror; a decrease in illumination light, caused by a trigger line disposed to improve the turn-on characteristics of the arc tube, being suppressed. The lamp device include an arc tube having a bulb portion that incorporates electrodes and sealing portions; a principal reflection mirror; a sub-mirror; leads connected to an electrode at an end portion of each of the sealing portions; and a trigger line. The trigger line has a ring-like portion wound around the sealing portion. The trigger line extends from the ring-like portion and has a wiring path that passes a neighborhood of the bulb portion without coming into contact with the bulb portion, further extends along the sealing portion and is connected to the lead. The wiring path is in the same plane that extends through an optical axis.
