摘要: The invention clarifies absorption properties of a water-absorbent resin as needed in the case where the ratio by weight of the water-absorbent resin to the total of the water-absorbent resin and the fibrous material is ".alpha.," and further the invention provides an absorbent article using a water-absorbent resin which is optimal to the ratio by weight ".alpha." of the water-absorbent resin. A water-absorbent resin, having a concentration absorption index of 35 or more as shown by the following equation (1):A(1-.alpha.)+B.alpha. (1)wherein A (g/g) is an absorption capacity of the resin under no load, andB (g/g) is an absorption capacity of the resin under a load, is used as the water-absorbent resin as used for the absorbent article of at least 0.4 in the ratio by weight ".alpha." of the water-absorbent resin to the total of the water-absorbent resin and the fibrous material.

摘要: A high-speed agitation type mixer of a continuous extruding method including a plurality of agitating members provided around a rotational shaft inside a fixed casing is used to mix and react a water absorbing resin containing a carboxyl group with an aqueous liquid containing, for example, a crosslinking agent that can react with the carboxyl group. The agitating members of the mixer of a continuous extruding method are provided so as to form in the ejection side a second area whose thrusting force is weaker than the thrusting force in a first area in which the water absorbing resin supplied into the casing is dispersed. A device for manufacturing a water absorbing agent is thus offered which boasts good absorbency under pressure and always maintain its excellent performance with end products.

摘要: An absorbing agent composition exhibiting excellent properties (absorbing properties), such as capabilities of maintaining high liquid diffusion and a constant absorbing capacity per unit weight, even when an amount of an absorbent resin is increased in percent by weight based on the weight of the absorbing agent composition, and an absorbent material containing such an absorbing agent composition and an absorbent product containing the absorbent material. The absorbing agent composition has a diffusing absorbency index under pressure of 1.5 g/g.multidot.min or higher with respect to a physiological saline solution under a load of 20 g/cm.sup.2. The absorbent material contains at least 40 weight percent absorbing agent composition based on the weight of the absorbent material. The absorbent product comprises an absorbent layer containing the absorbent material sandwiched by a liquid permeable sheet and a liquid impermeable sheet. The diffusing absorbency index under pressure is calculated by a device used for measuring the diffusing absorbency under pressure, that is, a weight of a physiological saline solution absorbed by the absorbing agent composition placed in a supporting cylinder for 60 minutes since the supporting cylinder is placed on a sheet with a weight is measured in time series using a balance.
