摘要： An optical device includes a light source, a light valve and a projection lens configured to enlarge an image to be displayed on the light valve. The light valve is disposed in the vicinity of an object plane of the projection lens. The light source illuminates a peripheral portion more brightly than an optical axis portion, in a plane parallel to the object plane located in the vicinity of the object plane of the projection lens. The optical axis portion is a portion where an optical axis passes through and the peripheral portion is a portion located in the periphery of an optical axis portion.

摘要： A pretensioner (1) for a seat belt system (7) of an automobile comprises a gas generator (2), a gas pipe (3), a piston (5) and a coupling mechanism (6). The gas generator (2) is adapted to generate a high-pressure gas when a shock occurs in the automobile due to a collision, a sudden stop, etc. The gas pipe (3) is formed to receive therein the gas generator (2). The gas pipe (3) is adapted to guide the high-pressure gas released from the gas generator (2) to the piston (5). The piston (5) is adapted to be moved or displaced by a pressure of the high-pressure gas guided by the gas pipe (3). The coupling mechanism (6) is connected to each of the piston (5) and a buckle (8) of the seat belt system (7). The coupling mechanism (6) is adapted to wind up or pull a seat belt (9) in accordance with the movement of the piston (5) to increase a restraining force of the seat belt (9).

摘要： A latch device for a webbing anchor used in the seat belt system of a vehicle comprises a guide rail disposed in the vehicle with a predetermined locus, an anchor to which the end of webbing is fixed and which has an engaging pawl, the anchor being engaged with the guide rail for movement along the track of the guide rail, a driving member slidable along the guide rail and engaged with the anchor so as to be relatively displaced by a predetermined amount in the direction of sliding movement, the driving member being adapted to drive the anchor on the guide rail to bring the same to a seat occupant restraining position and a seat occupant non-restraining position, and a latch member fixedly disposed adjacent to the driving member and having an engaging portion engageable with the engaging pawl of the anchor and a cam portion forming cam means with the driving member.

摘要： An image display device includes a light source which emits laser light; an optical element which is operable to switch between a first state for reducing a coherence of the laser light and a second state for substantially maintaining the coherence of the laser light; a switching control circuit which controls the optical element; an imager which modulates the laser light transmitted through the optical element; and a modulation control circuit which controls the imager based on an image signal. The modulation control circuit causes the imager to render an image pattern for generating an image by changing alight amount at each pixel position when the optical element is in the first state, and causes the imager to render a hologram pattern for generating an image by diffraction when the optical element is in the second state.

A first LED light source emits a light in red, a second LED light source emits a light in green, and a third LED light source emits a light in blue. Lights in respective colors emitted from each LED light source are guided into a light incidence surface of a rod integrator by a cross dichroic mirror. The cross dichroic mirror is formed of a first cross dichroic mirror portion and a second dichroic mirror portion. The first cross dichroic mirror portion is divided into two portions, and the second cross dichroic mirror portion, too, is divided into two portions. The cross dichroic mirror has structure of a cross arrangement in which these four divided portions bring respective corner sides into close contact.

摘要： An automatic seat belt system includes a guide rail arranged along a predetermined path within the room of an automobile, a runner provided movably on the guide rail, and a drive member for causing the runner to move in such a way that a webbing fastened to the runner is displaceable between an occupant restraining position and an occupant non-restraining position. The system further comprises a plurality of brackets for mounting the guide rail on the body of the automobile and means for positioning the brackets at desired locations relative to the length of the guide rail. The automobile seat belt system of this invention allows to reduce the material and machining costs upon fabrication of its guide rail and permits easy positional registration or matching between the guide rail and its brackets upon mounting the guide rail on the body of the automobile.

摘要： An automatic seat belt system makes use of a drive member, for example, a drive tape for causing a runner to move back and forth along a guide rail mounted from the side roof to the center pillar within the room of an automobile. The drive tape is formed of a stretched tape made of a polyamide resin such as nylon 11 or nylon 12. The drive tape requires a low material cost and exhibits superb resistance to tensile and compression forces. The former advantage enables to reduce the overall manufacturing cost of the automatic seat belt system. On the other hand, the latter advantage permits use of a narrower and thinner drive tape, whereby permitting an overall size reduction to the automatic seat belt system. Owing to the possibility of using such a narrow drive tape, the drive tape can be arranged in a state bent in its widthwise direction without increasing its sliding resistance to any substantial degree.
