摘要: A holographic display is comprised of space-multiplexed elemental modulators, each of which consists of a surface acoustic wave transducer atop an anisotropic waveguide. Each “line” of the overall display consists of a single anisotropic waveguide across the display's length with multiple surface acoustic wave transducers spaced along the waveguide length, although for larger displays, the waveguide may be divided into segments, each provided with separate illumination. Light that is undiffracted by a specific transducer is available for diffraction by subsequent transducers. Per transducer, guided-mode light is mode-converted to leaky-mode light, which propagates into the substrate away from the viewer before encountering a volume reflection grating and being reflected and steered towards the viewer. The display is transparent and all reflection volume gratings operate in the Bragg regime, thereby creating no dispersion of ambient light.

摘要: A mixed reality accommodation system and related methods are provided. In one example, a head-mounted display device includes a plurality of sensors and a display system for presenting holographic objects. A mixed reality safety program is configured to receive a holographic object and associated content provider ID from a source. The program assigns a trust level to the object based on the content provider ID. If the trust level is less than a threshold, the object is displayed according to a first set of safety rules that provide a protective level of display restrictions. If the trust level is greater than or equal to the threshold, the object is displayed according to a second set of safety rules that provide a permissive level of display restrictions that are less than the protective level of display restrictions.

If a condition under which a second user is authorized to view the virtual content is satisfied, a second display device is caused to display the virtual content at the virtual place-located anchor.

摘要: A projection-type display device is connectively coupled to a mobile device (such as a smartphone) where the light generated by a small projection device is directed at a relatively transparent holographic optical element (HOE) to provide a display to an operator of the mobile device or a viewer. The projector and HOE may be configured to produce and magnify a virtual image that is perceived as being displayed at a large distance from the operator who views the image through the HOE. The HOE may comprise a volume grating effective at only the narrow wavelengths of the projection device to maximize transparency while also maximizing the light reflected from the display projector to the eyes of the operator.

摘要: The techniques, apparatus, material and systems are described for a portable camera device which can be attached to the camera port of a conventional transmission or reflection microscope for complex wave front analysis. At least one holographic element (BS, grating) splits the beam (s) containing the sample information in two beams (r,o) and filters (r′, o′) them. The proposed invention has a relaxed alignment sensitivity to displacement of the beam coming from the microscope. Besides since it compensates the coherence plane tilt angle between reference and object arms, it allows for creating high-visibility interference over the entire field of view. The full-field off-axis holograms provide the whole sample information.
