    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for transmitting or receiving data in a wireless power transmission system. The present specification discloses a wireless power reception device comprising: a power pickup unit configured to receive, from a wireless power transmission device, wireless power generated on the basis of magnetic coupling in a power transmission phase; and a communication/control unit configured to receive, from the wireless power transmission device, information on a first buffer size indicating the size of a first buffer for receiving a data transmission stream. As the buffer size for exchanging the data transmission stream between the wireless power transmission device and reception device becomes clear, wireless power transmission and communication can proceed smoothly.

    Abstract: A communication method of a wireless power transmitter for transferring power in a wireless manner, includes allocating a slot among a plurality of slots to a first wireless power receiver, the slot being allocated to the first wireless power receiver for acquiring information of the first wireless power receiver while wireless power is transferred to the first wireless power receiver; transferring the wireless power to the first wireless power receiver by the wireless power transmitter; detecting a second wireless power receiver by the wireless power transmitter during the wireless power transfer to the first wireless power receiver; and generating a collision related signal based on a frequency shift keying (FSK) such that a collision resolution mechanism is executed by each of the first and second wireless power receivers respectively when first information generated by the first wireless power and second information generated by the second wireless power are in a collision within a first unallocated slot among the plurality of slots, the first information and the second information being generated based on a load modulation.

    Abstract: A wireless power receiver comprises: a power pickup circuit for receiving wireless power from a wireless power transmitter on the basis of a magnetic coupling with the wireless power transmitter, and converting an alternating current signal generated by the wireless power into a direct current signal; and a communication/control circuit for communicating with the wireless power transmitter and controlling the wireless power that is received, wherein the communication/control circuit transmits, to the wireless power transmitter, an end power transfer packet for detecting a foreign object in a primary power transfer step of receiving the wireless power so as to enable the wireless power transmitter to detect the foreign object, receives a ping signal from the wireless power transmitter which has estimated that no foreign object is present, and transmits a data packet, in response to the ping signal, for entering a secondary power transfer step.
