摘要： The present invention provides an aqueous composition comprising (i) a fluorochemical compound and (ii) an ester derivative of an alpha-hydroxy acid, the ester derivative having a melting point of not more than 35° C. and a water solubility of not more than 10% by weight at 25° C. The fluorochemical compound is typically dispersed or emulsified in the aqueous composition. The aqueous compositions may provide such advantages as providing good oil- and/or water repellency properties to a substrate upon application at ambient conditions, without the need for a heat treatment. Thus, the aqueous compositions may be used to provide oil- and/or water repellency properties to a substrate such as for example a fibrous substrate, e.g., leather or textile. In particular, repellency properties comparable to those achieved with a heat treatment step may be achieved.

摘要： Fluorochemical composition for rendering fibrous substrates oil repellent, water repellent, and/or stain or soil repellent. The composition comprises a dispersion or a solution of a fluorinated compound which comprises the reaction product of the following: (i) one or more fluorinated polyethers according to the formula: RfQTk   (I) wherein Rf represents a monovalent perfluorinated polyether group having a number average molecular weight of at least 750 g/mol, Q represents a chemical bond or a divalent or trivalent organic linking group, T represents a functional group capable of reacting with an isocyanate, and k is 1 or 2; (ii) one or more polyoxyalkylene diols; (iii) one or more short chain perfluoroalkyl alcohols; (iv) one or more isocyanate component selected from a polyisocyanate compound that has at least 3 isocyanate groups or a mixture of polyisocyanate compounds wherein the average number of isocyanate groups per molecule is more than 2; (v) optionally one or more isocyanate blocking groups; and (vi) optionally one or more co-reactants capable of reacting with an isocyanate group. Also, a method of applying such composition to substrates, e.g., fibrous substrates.

摘要： New secondary amines are described which are prepared from inexpensive, commercially available raw materials, are stable at room temperature, and are reactive toward electrophiles. The secondary amines are prepared by the addition of one or more primary amines with one or more male (amide/ester) and fumar (amide/ester) Michael receptors. The above amines can be used as coreactants with aliphatic polyisocyanates for polyurea coatings. The novel secondary amines are also described as particularly useful as part of a two-part liquid pavement marking composition for pavement markings.

摘要： Novel photosensitive compositions based on azlactone derived polymers are described. The polymers have a hydroearbyl backbone and pendant peptide groups with free-radically polymerizable functionality attached thereto, said polymer further comprising at least one oxyacid group or salt thereof, and optionally quaternary ammonium salt groups. A high speed durable printing plate having a mild pH aqueous developability is disclosed which incorporates these polymers in combination with a photoinitiator. The polymers are also useful as proofing films in graphic arts applications.
