    Abstract: A method for identifying association identifiers (AIDs) for multiple basic service sets (BSSs) supported by a first communication device is described. A reference identifier that indicates a fixed mapping of AIDs to BSS identifiers (BSSIDs) in a multiple-BSSID set is identified by a first communication device. The multiple-BSSID set includes BSSIDs of a first and second BSS. A management frame that includes a maximum BSSID indicator that indicates a maximum size of the multiple-BSSID set, the reference identifier, and a transmitter address of the management frame is generated for a receiver of the management frame to derive a first AID corresponding to the first BSS and a second AID corresponding to the second BSS based on the maximum BSSID indicator, the reference identifier, and the transmitter address. The management frame is transmitted to at least one second communication device associated with one of the first BSS and the second BSS.

    Abstract: A method for simultaneous communication in a wireless local area network is described. A first control frame is transmitted by a first communication device to a plurality of communication devices, is duplicated across each of a plurality of sub-channels of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing channel, and indicates that the communication devices are requested to simultaneously transmit respective control frames to the first communication device. Respective control frames are received, including second and third control frames from second and third communication devices, respectively, that are transmitted via a same sub-channel having a smallest bandwidth of the wireless local area network and indicate that at least some of the plurality of sub-channels are available. One of an orthogonal frequency division multiple access data unit and a duplicated legacy data unit is transmitted by the first communication device in response to the control frames via the available sub-channels.

    Abstract: In aspects of access point association using trigger-based uplink single user transmission, a wireless network system includes a station device that detects an initial trigger frame communicated in the wireless network system, and the station device can communicate an association request to an access point to join the wireless network system. The access point can receive the association request from the station device and generate an association response as an acknowledgement to the association request. The acknowledgement aggregates an association response frame that includes an association identifier for the station device and a unicast trigger frame to initiate a trigger-based uplink single user (UL-SU) transmission from the station device. The access point can then communicate the acknowledgement to the station device.

    Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a first wireless access point, and a first set of at least one first station in wireless communication with the first wireless access point. The first wireless access point controls power for communications with a first station in the set of at least one first station. The first wireless access point may control power in a time-domain, announcing a power level for use during a time window. The first wireless access point may control power levels in a frequency-domain, announcing different power levels for different frequency subchannels within a frequency channel. The wireless communication system may further include an additional wireless access point, and an additional set of at least one additional station in wireless communication with the additional wireless access point. The first and additional wireless access points control power to avoid interference between the first and additional wireless access points.
