    Abstract: Various sensor tapes can improve securing of a non-invasive optical sensor to a surface of a medium for taking noninvasive measurement of characteristics of the medium. The sensor tape can taper from a wide end to a narrow end. The sensor tape can transition from a wide portion to a narrow portion in a step-like change or slope. The sensor tape can have staggered portions. The various tapes can be used with an L-shaped sensor. The various tapes can increase contact surface between the surface of the medium and an adhesive side of the tape so as to reduce motion-induced noise.

    Abstract: A wireless patient monitoring device can be fully functional stand-alone patient monitoring device capable of various physiological measurements. The patient monitoring device is small and light enough to be comfortably worn on the patient, such as on the patient's wrist or around the neck. The patient monitoring device can have a monitor instrument removably engaging a disposable base. The base can have outlets for connecting to an acoustic respiration sensor and an oximeter sensor. The patient monitoring device can have pogo pin connectors connecting the monitor instrument and the disposable base so that the monitor instrument can receive sensor data from the sensors connected to the disposable base.

    Abstract: A charging station for providing power to a physiological monitoring device can include a charging bay and a tray. The charging bay can include a charging port configured to receive power from a power source. The tray can be positioned within and movably mounted relative to the charging bay. The tray can be further configured to secure the physiological monitoring device and move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the tray can be spaced away from the charging port, and, in the second position, the tray can be positioned proximate the charging port, thereby allowing the physiological monitoring device to electrically connect to the charging port.
