If a difference between a learned concentration and a detection concentration is not less than a specified value, the ECU performs a purge control based on the learned concentration prior to a purge control based on the detection concentration.

摘要： An evaporated fuel leak detector detects leakage of an evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank. The detector includes: a differential pressure valve, a pump for sucking a detection port side to reduce pressure on a fuel tank side, and pressure detection means for detecting pressure on a detection port side. The valve includes a detection port connecting to a fuel tank side, an atmosphere port opened to atmosphere, a pressure chamber and a valve member displaceable in accordance with differential pressure between the detection port and the pressure chamber for connecting and disconnecting a connection between the detection port and the atmosphere port. The valve member disconnects between the detection port and the atmosphere port in a case where pressure of the pressure chamber becomes larger than pressure of the detection port by a predetermined pressure.

摘要： When a gas flow producer is driven, plural kinds of gases flow into a measure-passage at respective timing. An orifice is provided in the measure-passage. The orifice has a diameter-changing portion which restricts a separation of gases from an inner surface of the measure-passage. A pressure sensor is provided in the measure-passage to detect a pressure determined by the orifice and the gas flow producer. A microcomputer calculates a density ratio between the gases based on the detected differential pressure.

The sensor device also includes a beat oscillator having plural oscillators of different oscillating frequencies. The beat oscillator generates a beat signal of a frequency lower than the oscillating frequencies. The beat signal corresponds to a difference of the oscillating frequencies. The beat oscillator is electrically connected to the sensor such that the frequency of the beat signal changes in accordance with the changes in the resistance value of the sensor.

摘要： In a double-acting diaphragm pump, a diaphragm is provided to divide a pump body into two pump chambers. An electromagnetic-type reciprocating actuator is provided in a housing hermetically integrated with the pump body. Different from an electric-type pump, the actuator is integrally mounted on the double-acting diaphragm pump and an entire system is hermetically sealed. Therefore, even if the diaphragm is torn, fuel vapor is prevented from leaking outside. Additionally, four check valves are provided to control the discharge of vapor from a canister side to an engine side. These check valves may employ a reed to control vapor flow or a spring and plate to control flow. In addition, since the pump may be a double-acting type, a large discharge volume is obtained and the pump can be made smaller. The pump may also be a non double-acting type.

摘要： An evaporated fuel adsorbed by an adsorbing member of a canister is compulsively desorbed by driving of a purge pump and is introduced into an intake passage of an internal combustion engine. In this instance, intake pulsation of the intake passage of an internal combustion engine is introduced into a driving chamber of the purge pump and a partition is moved, so that the capacity of a pump chamber is varied. In other words, the purge pump conducts its pump operation by utilizing the movement of the partition resulting from the introduction of intake pulsation of the intake passage of the internal combustion engine, and a power loss can be thus reduced. When a pressure difference is small between the intake pressure inside the intake passage of the internal combustion engine and the pressure on the canister side, too, a desired purge flow rate can be secured in accordance with the operating condition of the internal combustion engine.

摘要： A combustion monitoring apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided which is designed to distinguish abnormal combustion conditions from a normal combustion conditions using a combustion ion current included in a current flowing through plug electrodes of a spark plug, resulting from motion of ions between the plug electrodes which are produced by combustion. For example, if a maximum value of the combustion ion current during one combustion cycle is smaller than a given value, it is determined that a misfire has occurred. If an attenuation time from generation of the current flowing through the plug electrodes until a variation in the current is decreased to a given value is shorter than a given time period, it is determined that a flame has been blown out before combustion is completed.
