摘要: According to some embodiments, a method in a user equipment (920) is provided. According to the method, the user equipment receives, over a first cell (970) configured on a carrier frequency, at least one parameter associated with a second cell (980) configured on a carrier frequency. The at least one parameter comprises a cell identity. The user equipment (920) then derives (1050) at least one physical layer characteristic for the second cell (980) based on the received at least one parameter. Thereby, the user equipment (920) is able to receive transmissions over the second cell (980), even if it could not initially detect the presence of the cell.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and to a transceiver (100) of a telecommunications system capable in exchanging protocol data units (PDUs) with another transceiver(s). Each PDU being identified using a sequence number. The transceiver, according to the present invention, is arranged to receive from the other transceiver a status report indicating positively acknowledged PDUs and negatively acknowledged PDUs. The transceiver (100) is further configured to compare sequence numbers in the report with previously acquired sequence numbers from previous reports and to prevent retransmissions of one or several PDUs based on the comparison.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement for obtaining efficient radio resource utilization over a radio interface in a communication network comprising a transmitting entity (18) transmitting data over said radio interface to a receiving entity (15), said transmitting entity (18) comprising at least an upper layer utilizing an automatic repeat request (ARQ) protocol on top of a lower layer utilizing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocol, whereby a timer in said upper layer is arranged to supervise operation of said upper layer. Said timer is set based on an indication of receipt status of the transmitted data in said receiving entity (15) according to said lower layer hybrid automatic repeat request protocol.

摘要: A method and nodes for providing adaptive segmentation in a higher protocol layer interacting with a lower protocol layer. An adaptable segmentation limit (200, 204), defining a threshold of a largest Protocol Data Unit (PDU) that is to be submitted to a lower protocol layer, is deployed at a higher protocol layer interacting with the lower protocol layer. For each Service Data Unit (SDU; 201, 203) arriving at the higher protocol layer, it is determined if the respective SDU can fit into the segmentation limit or not. Each SDU that do not fit into the segmentation limit is segmented into PDUs (205, 206) which are smaller than or equal to the segmentation limit, while no segmentation is performed on SDUs that fit into the segmentation limit.

摘要: Congestion in a radio access network (RAN) associated with transporting uplink information originating from one or more mobile terminals is detected. That detected RAN congestion is reduced using any suitable technique (several examples are described) and may be implemented in one or more nodes in the RAN. One advantageous (but non-limiting) application is to a RAN that supports high speed uplink packet access (HSUPA) and/or one or more enhanced uplink dedicated channels (E-DCHs).

摘要: The present invention relates to an improved procedure for synchronization of re-configuration of RRC procedures between the radio base station and the UE. This is achieved by associating a new configuration to be used by a UE with an additional UE identity. The UE is normally identified by a first UE identity, but is informed in a re-configuration message that the UE also has the additional UE identity. The UE is identified by the additional UE identity when the new configuration is to be activated. Hence, when the radio base station detects that the UE responds to requests, which included the additional UE identity, the radio base station can conclude that the UE has activated the new configuration.
