摘要： A method and system for preventing the detection of an operating system by an intruder, the operating system installed on a host in a network, is provided. The intruder transmits a network probe for operating system detection. The network probe is identified and a response is generated to the network probe, generated by the operating system, is modified. The modified response provides the intruder with false information related to the operating system, thereby misleading the intruder about the type of operating system.

Alternately, a displaceable cage support apparatus is provided comprising an upper support pivotally associated with at least one vertical support and a securing member. The displaceable cage support apparatus may further comprise a toilet placed so as to be bounded by the upper support.

摘要： An apparatus, device and enclosure for securing objects. Embodiments provide an apparatus, device and enclosure for securing objects in workspace drawers, where the apparatus may be mounted in a portion of a drawer to secure some objects while maintaining convenient access to other unsecured items in the same drawer. The apparatus has one or more engagement features which protrude from its body or housing to engage an interior surface of the drawer. The engagement features may disengage the drawer for removal of the apparatus only when it is placed in an unsecured state (e.g., when it is able to receive objects to be secured), thereby preventing unauthorized removal of the apparatus from the drawer. As such, the apparatus provides a convenient and effective means for securing objects by limiting access to secured items while still maintaining functionality of the drawer and access to unsecured items.

Embodiments provide an apparatus for securing items that comprises at least one interface for coupling the secured item to an external system, external device, external component, etc. The item may be coupled to the interface before placing the apparatus in a secured state, where a portion of the interface accessible from the outside of the apparatus provides electrical access to the item when in the secured state. Additionally, embodiments provide movement detection and alert mechanisms to enable the apparatus to detect movement thereof and generate an alert, thereby deterring theft of and/or tampering with the secured item.

In one exemplary method for deriving the sequence of a polypeptide, a predetermined set of mass/charge values for amino acid sequences is stored. An abundance value from mass spectrum data for each mass/charge value in the predetermined set is determined to produce a plurality of abundance values. A first ranking, based on the plurality of abundance values, is calculated for each sequence of a set of amino acid sequences having a first number of amino acids. A second ranking, based on the plurality of abundance values, for each sequence of a set of amino acid sequences having a second number of amino acids is calculated. A cumulative ranking, based on the first ranking and the second ranking, is calculated for each sequence of a set of amino acid sequences having at least the second number of amino acids.

Once the inflatable curtain is deployed, the energy absorption mechanism is configured to release the retention tab from its initial configuration and allow it to be forced into a deployed configuration wherein the retention tab tautly extends from the vehicle.
