    摘要: In the head slider of the present invention, recording and reproducing electrode pads and heater electrode pads are attached to the same surface of an overcoat layer. The heater electrode pads are located on both sides of a group constituted by the recording and reproducing electrode pads. As a consequence, leads for the heater are located between respective leads for recording and reproducing head parts, whereby crosstalk can be prevented from occurring between the leads for the recording and reproducing head parts.

    摘要: The object of the invention is to provide a write/read head supporting mechanism for a magnetic or optical disk system having a micro-displacement actuator, by which any impediment to the displacement capability of the actuator is eliminated to achieve reliability improvements. The write/read head supporting mechanism comprises a slider, a suspension and an actuator as at least head constituents. The slider is provided with an electromagnetic transducer element or an optical module. The slider supported on the suspension by way of the actuator is displaceable relatively with respect to the suspension by the actuator. Between relatively displacing head constituents there is a space. Preferably, friction-reducing means should be provided in the space.

    摘要: A perpendicular magnetic head for writing information on a magnetic recording medium comprises an ABS, a coil for generating a magnetic flux, a magnetic pole layer, a magnetic shield layer, and a gap layer disposed between the magnetic pole layer and the magnetic shield layer. Further the magnetic head has a non-magnetic region of a non-magnetic material. The non-magnetic region is disposed in the magnetic shield layer and positioned behind the ABS at a predetermined distance. The non-magnetic region is also disposed in the magnetic shield layer and has a predetermined width. With such a configuration, an undesirable concentration of the magnetic flux on the ABS is prevented.
