Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) is described that may include receiving a data packet transmission over a wireless channel from a base station. The method may further include determining a set of intrinsic log likelihood ratios (LLRs) based at least in part on the data packet transmission and determining an accumulated capacity for the wireless channel based at least in part on the set of intrinsic LLRs. The method may also include determining a channel quality indicator index or a transmission rank for the wireless channel based at least in part on the accumulated capacity and transmitting a feedback message that indicates the channel quality indicator index or the transmission rank for the wireless channel to the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a set of configurations including a set of random access channel (RACH) configurations or a set of scheduling request (SR) configurations. At least one RACH configuration of the set of RACH configurations includes a UE-group common RACH configuration or at least one SR configuration of the set of SR configurations includes a UE-group common SR configuration. The UE may select one or more configurations of the set of RACH configurations or the set of SR configurations based on receiving the control signaling and may perform the wireless communications.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support reduced bandwidth devices and particularly, allocation of control resource sets for reduced bandwidths. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving, from a base station at a user equipment (UE) having a first type, a master information block (MIB) within a physical broadcast channel (PBCH). The MIB includes CORESET size information and search space information for devices having a second type. The method also includes selecting a CORESET size from a plurality of preconfigured CORESET sizes based on a subcarrier spacing used to communicate with the base station. The method further includes monitoring a set of time and frequency resources to receive a message from the base station. The set of time and frequency resources has the selected CORESET size. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a UE or base station may identify a first portion of a payload associated with a first priority and a second portion of the payload associated with a second priority less than the first priority. The UE or base station may select a first matrix associated with a first domain for the first portion of the payload and a second matrix associated with a second domain for the second portion of the payload based on a first maximum index interval for the first matrix being larger than a second maximum index interval for the second matrix. The UE may transmit or the base station may receive the first portion of the payload using one or more sequences associated with the first matrix and the second portion of the payload using one or more sequences associated with the second matrix.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support inter-slot bundling and frequency hopping. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving a message indicating inter-slot bundling for uplink channel inter-bandwidth part (BWP) frequency hopping repetitions. The method also includes receiving bundling information and redundancy value (RV) information for an uplink channel transmission and corresponding uplink channel transmission repetitions. The method includes transmitting the uplink channel transmission with inter-slot bundling and frequency hopping and based on the bundling information and the RV information. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) message from a base station on a first downlink control channel. The first DCI message may indicate a first set of transmission parameters. The UE may transmit a first uplink control information (UCI) message to the base station on an uplink control channel based on the first DCI message. The first UCI message may include feedback and a channel state information (CSI) report. The UE may receive a second DCI message from the base station on a second downlink channel based on the first UCI message. The second DCI message may indicate a second set of transmission parameters that are different than the first set of transmission parameters. The UE may communicate with the base station using the second set of transmission parameters indicated by the second DCI message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for user equipment (UE) indication of uplink scheduling information to a base station. The uplink scheduling information may provide information on a periodic traffic pattern, such as for periodic extended reality (XR) data flows. The uplink scheduling information may provide uplink assistance information (UAI) to a base station to assist the base station with providing uplink resources that efficiently serve an XR session. The UAI may indicate one or more of a periodicity of uplink traffic, an offset between uplink traffic and a packet arrival, a data size for uplink traffic for each time period associated with the XR session, a request to enable uplink transmission skipping, or any combinations thereof. A base station may provide one or more dynamic grants, configured grants, or proactive grants to a UE based on the uplink scheduling information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a set of resources of a sidelink channel available for sidelink communication with a second UE. The first UE may receive a sidelink preemption indication indicating that at least a first resource from the set of resources is preempted. The first UE may communicate a sidelink transmission over the sidelink channel with the second UE based on the sidelink preemption indication. In some cases, the first UE may determine whether the SPI satisfies one or more thresholds and the first UE may communicate the sidelink transmission, or refrain from communicating the sidelink transmission, based on determining whether the SPI satisfies the one or more thresholds.

In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, before a next paging occasion (PO) of a paging cycle, a page indication (PI) in a first PI location associated with the next PO, wherein the PI comprises at least one repetition of a plurality of repetitions of the PI transmitted in the first PI location on each of a plurality of beams, and decodes the PI to determine whether or not the UE is paged in the next PO.
