Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to receiving, from a base station, a downlink communication indicating resources scheduled for one or more repetitions of a downlink control channel, receiving, from the base station, the one or more repetitions of the downlink control channel, and combining the one or more repetitions of the downlink control channel to decode the downlink control channel. In another aspect, the network can transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a downlink communication indicating resources scheduled for one or more repetitions of a downlink control channel, and transmitting, to the UE, the one or more repetitions of the downlink control channel over the resources.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a technique for determining quasi co-location (QCL) and/or transmission configuration information (TCI) state assumption information for a dynamic control resource set (CORESET). A user equipment (UE) may receive and/or detect a downlink control information (DCI) that schedules at least one dynamic CORESET and indicates a TCI state from a list of one or more TCI states for the dynamic CORESET. The UE may apply the indicated TCI state for processing physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmissions in the dynamic CORESET when one or more conditions are met.

Abstract: Various designs for reference signals for beam management (BM) in non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) in 5G systems are discussed. NTN platforms determine to transmit a BM reference signal associated with a beam in an NTN. The BM reference signal is configured to facilitate beam switching at a wireless communication entity, and the beam having a beam bandwidth. The NTN platforms determines a frequency resource for transmitting the BM reference signal, and transmits, to a wireless communication entity, the BM reference signal in the determined frequency resource. The wireless communication entity monitors the frequency resource, receives the BM reference signal associated with the beam in the frequency resource, and manages beam selection based on the received BM reference signal. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless communication device may receive, from a second wireless communication device, a first control message scheduling transmission of a message and indicating to skip monitoring of one or more control channel occasions during a time period. The first wireless communication device may transmit a feedback message indicating that the message was not successfully received and indicating resuming of monitoring of at least one control channel occasion of the one or more control channel occasions during the time period. The first wireless communication device may monitor, within the time period, a first control channel occasion of the at least one control channel occasion for a second control message scheduling retransmission of the message, and may skip monitoring of a remaining one or more control channel occasions within the time period subsequent to the first control channel occasion.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating a set of measurement report occasions for transmission of measurement reports associated with a first periodicity between measurement report occasions, the measurement reports associated with a first indicator size for reporting indicators of beams. The UE may measure reference signals associated with the measurement reports to determine potential beams for communications with the network entity. The UE may transmit a measurement report including one or more indicators, each indicator indicating one of the potential beams, and each indicator may have a second indicator size smaller than the first indicator size based on the quantity of the potential beams. Further, the UE may transmit measurement reports with a second periodicity different from the first periodicity based on a reporting metric being within a first value range of a set of value ranges.
