    Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein allocate and/or transmit a narrower bandwidth value for LTE MTC UEs, such as UEs that operate in a small bandwidth mode using LTE procedures, and allocate and/or transmit a wider bandwidth value for 5G MTC UEs, such as UEs that can perform hopping and/or be allocated resources outside of a legacy bandwidth. For example, the wider bandwidth value may be associated with a non-LTE carrier (e.g., a 5G carrier in a 5G bandwidth) with the same center frequency as an LTE carrier associated with the narrower bandwidth value. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for initial access, signaling, paging, random access, unicast communications, frequency hopping, cell-specific reference signaling, narrowband alignment, and/or other coexistence considerations for LTE MTC UEs operating on an LTE carrier and 5G MTC UEs operating on a non-LTE carrier with a bandwidth that includes the LTE carrier.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first transmission including encoded bits of a data packet and a second transmission including some or all of the encoded bits of the data packet. The first transmission associated with a first limited buffer rate matching (LBRM) configuration and the second transmission may be associated with a second LBRM configuration. The UE may process the first transmission and the second transmission based on the first LBRM associated with the first transmission being different than the second LBRM associated with the second transmission.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission in multiple SRS symbols in a subframe based on multiple SRS configurations, including determining for each of the multiple symbols a SRS pattern index. In some examples, the present disclosure provides a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). In certain aspects, the method includes receiving, from a base station, information corresponding to a plurality of SRS configurations for a subframe, and determining a plurality of symbols in the subframe for transmitting SRS based on the plurality of SRS configurations.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for maximizing the potential of resources dedicated to aerial user equipment (UEs). In one example, a UE may receive signaling indicating that a cell supports communications exclusively with aerial UEs. The signaling may be used to bar non-aerial UEs from accessing the cell and reserve resources for communications with aerial UEs. In another example, a UE may receive signaling identifying one or more frequency bands dedicated to aerial UEs. The UE may then communicate on the one or more frequency bands. In yet another example, a UE may receive signaling indicating a set of aerial access categories supported by a cell. The signaling may be used to reserve resources for high-priority aerial UEs (e.g., aerial UEs used for law enforcement purposes).

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain measurements related to a plurality of reference signals received by the UE. In some aspects, each of the plurality of reference signals is associated with a different set of quasi co-location (QCL) properties. The UE may determine a QCL property based at least in part on the measurements related to the plurality of reference signals. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the determined QCL property, a QCL relationship among the plurality of reference signals and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The UE may receive the PDSCH based at least in part on the QCL relationship. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration. The group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration may be independently configured from a unicast communication configuration and a cell-specific communication configuration. The UE may determine one or more multicast/broadcast communication parameters according to the group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration. The communication parameters may include a time resource allocation, a frequency resource allocation, a slot configuration, a downlink reference signal configuration and a resource mapping configuration for receiving multicast/broadcast downlink signals. The UE may receive multicast/broadcast downlink signals from the base station based on the one or more multicast/broadcast communication parameters.
