Abstract: Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may receive, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including an indication of a number of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) repetitions. The apparatus may also receive, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) indicating a codepoint associated with the number of PUCCH repetitions, the codepoint including at least one PUCCH resource indicator (PRI) associated with a PUCCH resource of one or more PUCCH resource sets, the at least one PRI corresponding to the number of PUCCH repetitions. The apparatus may also transmit, to the base station, a PUCCH via the PUCCH resource of the one or more PUCCH resource sets, the transmitted PUCCH corresponding to the number of PUCCH repetitions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine that a base station has scheduled the UE for one or more downlink transmissions, each of the one or more downlink transmissions having an associated repetition factor that corresponds to one of a plurality of configured repetition factors configured at the UE. The UE may identify an applied repetition factor to apply to feedback codebook generation for the one or more downlink transmissions. The UE may generate a feedback codebook for reporting feedback for the one or more downlink transmissions, the feedback codebook populated based at least in part on the applied repetition factor and on whether the one or more downlink transmissions were successfully received and decoded. The UE may transmit to the base station a feedback report that includes the feedback codebook.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which UEs and base stations may transmit multiple repetitions of certain communications, which may enhance the likelihood of successful reception and decoding such communications. A base station may configure a UE to transmit multiple repetitions of uplink control information (UCI) that each use a same number of coded bits for each repetition, which may allow for soft buffering and combining of the multiple repetitions the base station. The UE may select one of the repetitions for determining the number of coded bits, and may adjust one or more other repetitions of the UCI to provide the same number of coded bits.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) may transmit reference signals (RS) for the other device to estimate a channel and perform measurements. This disclosure provides for a UE to request a reference signal such as a channel state information (CSI) or a sounding reference signal (SRS). The BS transmits a radio resource control (RRC) message that configures the UE with one or more trigger states for CSI, SRS, or a combination thereof and a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) that activates a subset of the configured trigger states. In one aspect, the UE transmits an uplink request that indicates a trigger state for the UE. corresponding to at least one configured RS. The UE and the BS communicate the at least one RS corresponding to the trigger state for example, based on a grant from the BS or a time offset from the uplink request.
