Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, first information identifying positioning reference signal (PRS) resources. The UE may receive, from a base station, second information identifying sounding reference signal (SRS) resources. The UE may select, from PRS resources identified by the first information, PRS resources that satisfy a PRS-SRS proximity requirement with regard to at least one SRS resource identified by the second information. The UE may use the selected PRS resources at least for performing UE Rx-Tx measurements. In another aspect, a network entity may transmit, to a UE, first information identifying PRS resources. The network entity may transmit, to the UE, second information specifying a number of PRS resources to be used by the UE at least for performing UE Rx-Tx measurements.

Abstract: In an aspect, a UE detects a collision between at least one symbol among first and second sets of symbols of respective SRS-M and SRS-P configurations. The UE selects one of the SRS-M configuration and the SRS-P configuration for transmission on the at least one detected collision symbol, and transmits an SRS transmission in accordance with the selected SRS configuration on the at least one detected collision symbol. In an aspect, a position estimation entity (e.g., UE, gNB, LMF, etc.) identifies a pool of UEs for a SL-assisted position estimation procedure of a set of target UEs. SL SRS-Ps are communicated (e.g., transmitted and measured) between the pool of UEs (e.g., for relative SL ranging). UL SRS-Ps are communicated by at least some of the UEs in the pool of UEs. The position estimation entity obtains measurement data for both the SL SRS-P and UL-SRS-P communications. The position estimation entity determines a position estimate for each UE in the set of UEs based on the measurement information.

Abstract: Positioning of a user equipment (UE) is supported using reception points (RPs) that receive uplink sounding reference signals (SRS) from the UE. The RPs may measure signal strengths of received SRS that are used to determine path loss reference values that are provided to the UE for configurating subsequent SRS. The UE may report a plurality of RxTx time difference measurements with respect to a single PRS for the SRS transmitted to a plurality of RPs. The RPs may provide an Rx time for received SRS, which is used to generate a RxTx time different measurement for asymmetric round trip time (RTT) if the RP and TRP clocks are synchronized. The RPs may provide an RxRx time difference measurement for a time of reception of PRS and SRS if the RP and TRP clocks are synchronized. A location server determines a position of the UE using different positioning measurements.

Abstract: Aspects of sensor activation or deactivation for positioning a mobile device in a wireless communication network are disclosed. These aspects include, during a positioning session between the mobile device and a location server, determining with the location server that a first trigger condition or a second trigger condition has been met regarding reporting, by the mobile device to the location server, of sensor data from one or more sensors of the mobile device, where: the first trigger condition may comprise a trigger condition for activating the reporting, and the second trigger condition may comprise a trigger condition for deactivating the reporting. Aspects further include sending, from the location server to the mobile device, a message may comprise either: instructions to activate the reporting responsive to determining the first trigger condition has been met, or instructions to deactivate the reporting responsive to determining the second trigger condition has been met.

The network component determines (e.g., generates or refines) a meausrement (e.g., RFFP-P) model based on the measurement information. The network component provides the measurement (e.g., RFFP-P) model to a target UE. The target UE receives at least one signal (e.g., PRS) on the one or more downlink beams from the wireless node(s). The target UE processes the at least one signal (e.g., predicts target UE location) based at least in part on the measurement (e.g., RFFP-P) model.
