摘要： A method and an apparatus for performing a handover in an evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) sends a measurement report to a source evolved Node B (eNB), and receives a handover command from the source eNB. The WTRU initiates reception and processing of a primary broadcast channel (P-BCH) at the target cell after receiving the handover command. The WTRU then sends a random access preamble to the target eNB, receives a random access response from the target eNB, and sends a handover complete message to the target eNB. The reception and processing of the P-BCH may be initiated immediately after receiving the handover command or after sending the handover complete message. The WTRU may apply default configuration or source cell configuration in the target cell until a target cell SFN and/or P-BCH information are acquired.

摘要： Various procedures for operating a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) in Long Term Evolution (LTE) Idle mode are described. The procedures include: methods for applying cell reselection priorities in the WTRU, methods for converting a mobility state of the WTRU between operating modes, a method for assigning a mobility state to the WTRU, and a method for determining whether the WTRU may access a closed subscriber group (CSG) cell. Also described are methods and an apparatus on the operations of the LTE mobility state transition mechanism between LTE WTRU Idle mode and Connected mode, a definition of the Pcompensation parameter for LTE, inter-frequency and inter-radio access technology cell reselection priority validity definitions, and coverage extension principles for CSG cells.

摘要： A method and apparatus for selecting or reselecting a home Node-B (HNB), (i.e., a closed subscriber group (CSG) cell), among cells having colliding physical layer signals are disclosed. Once the identity (ID) of an HNB is determined, measurements needed to support cell selection or reselection are performed. A broadcast channel that broadcasts an HNB ID is detected and synchronized to, and information obtained from the broadcast channel is forwarded to a non-access stratum (NAS). The broadcasted HNB ID is checked against an HNB white-list provided by the NAS to determine whether the HNB is suitable for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). The WTRU selects the HNB to camp on, or changes from a cell currently serving the WTRU to the HNB if it is determined to be more suitable than the current serving cell.
