摘要: System and Method for providing access to multiple wireless service providers (WSPs) on a shared network infrastructure. The system includes a plurality of access points (Aps) coupled to a network which may be distributed in airports, mass-transit stations, businesses, etc. The network may couple to a wide area network, such as the Internet. Each AP may include a plurality of virtual Aps (VAPs), each corresponding to a WSP. A portable computing device (PCD) of a user stores identification information indicating a WSP of a plurality of possible WSPs, and which may include an access level of the user. Each AP “listens for” or detects identification information associated with numerous WSPs. When the AP receives the identification information from the PCD, it determines the VAP/WSP for the PCD using the identification information. Network access is then provided to the PCD through the determined WSP at the determined access level.

摘要: The application describes apparatus and methods for delivering a powdered medicament for inhalation. The medicament is put in a receptacle (100) on a vibration generator (80) operated by fluid pressure, e.g. by means of an eccentric rotor. A flow of gas from a supply (20) is passed into the receptacle (100), producing in concert with the vibration an aerosol which passes out of the receptacle and along a tube (110) to be inhaled by the patient. Both the gas flow supply and vibration may be subject to the operation of a control unit (60), which may time the production of the aerosol according to a patient's breathing cycle, e.g. as part of a ventilator system.

摘要: This invention provides methods and compositions for treating tumors. The cell population is made up of alloactivated lymphocytes from the patient or from one or more third-party donors that are alloactivated in a mixed lymphocyte culture. It can be placed into the tumor bed, or combined with tumor-associated antigen for administration to a distal site as a vaccine. The compositions recruit activated participation of the host Immune system, which then reacts against the tumor and provides a level of ongoing protection. Employing multiple third party donor cells confers particular advantages in terms of effectiveness, timing, and ease of use.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for stabilizing the phase and gain of an amplifier in a power pooling arrangement. A pilot signal combining a reference carrier frequency with a reference sideband frequency is passed through the amplifier via an adjustable phase shifter and an adjustable attenuator in the amplifier input line. A portion of the amplified pilot signal is coupled from the output of the amplifier and mixed with the reference frequency. The remaining audio frequency signal is compared to a reference (input) audio signal to determine phase and gain changes during amplification in the amplifier. Phase and gain control signals are developed from this comparison, and are fed back to the adjustable phase shifter and adjustable attenuator, respectively, in order to compensate an incoming signal for phase and gain variations in the amplifier.
