An electrical length of the first bias network is less than 90 degrees.

The second combiner 8 combines the RF signals output from each first combiner 7 and outputs the RF signal after combining. Each first combiner 7 is a combiner usable for an RF signal in a specific frequency band. The amplifying unit 1 is attachable to and detachable from the combining unit 5.

Providing linear amplification encompasses the ability to dynamically control an RF output power level over a wide range while still operating over a wide frequency bandwidth. The system and techniques described herein also operate to maintain high efficiency across a wide range of output power levels, such that a high average efficiency can be achieved for highly modulated output waveforms.
