摘要: A plurality of payload messages (502, 505, 508) is communicated on a radio link of a cellular network between a terminal (130) and an access node (112) of the cellular network. Each one of the plurality of payload messages (502, 505, 508) includes a data packet (501) encoded according to a given redundancy version (371-373). The number of the plurality of payload messages (502, 505, 508) may be dynamically and flexibly adjusted in some embodiments. Examples are given which may be applied for coverage enhancement in the Internet of Things or Machine Type Communication domain.

摘要: Multi-beam multiplexing in mobile radio communication networks, specifically for initial network access transmissions, such as Random Access Channel (RACH) transmissions and other initial network access signals that affect the operation of the Random Access operation. A network node is configured to distribute, simultaneously, a plurality of beams across a predetermined coverage area. Each of the beams are associated with a different coverage area. In addition, a plurality of sub-carriers are precoded in an OFDM modulated signal, which includes control information, for the purpose of shaping (i.e., beamforming) each of the plurality of beams. In this regard, one or more sub-carriers are mapped to a beam.

摘要: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for network-controlled UE filtering of detected cell reporting. The network instructs currently-connected UEs to only report neighboring cells that meet network-defined mobility filtering criteria and, in some embodiments, additional non-mobility filtering criteria. In response to receiving such instructions from the network, the UEs will apply the filtering criteria to at least the data associated with neighboring cells and, in some embodiments, data of the UE to determine which of the neighboring cells meet the filtering criteria. Once the UEs have determined that one or more neighboring cells meets the filtering criteria, the UEs communicate a detected cell report back to the network, which, according to specific embodiments of the invention, may be limited to identification of the neighboring cells that meet the mobility filtering criteria and, in some embodiments, additional non-mobility filtering criteria.
