Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting a synchronization signal for cell search in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communications system. The method includes identifying a primary synchronization sequence; identifying a secondary synchronization sequence associated with a cell identifier; mapping the primary synchronization sequence based on center subcarriers in a first OFDM symbol; mapping the secondary synchronization sequence based on the center subcarriers in a second OFDM symbol; transmitting the mapped primary synchronization sequence in the first OFDM symbol; and transmitting the mapped secondary synchronization sequence in the second OFDM symbol. The second OFDM symbol is adjacent to the first OFDM symbol, and the center subcarriers are part of a system bandwidth and a part of the center subcarriers is not used for mapping the secondary synchronization sequence.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for a User Equipment (UE) configured to have multiple cells in a DownLink (DL) of a Time Division Duplex (TDD) communication system so as to determine a power of an acknowledgement signal that the UE transmits in a control channel and to determine a number of acknowledgement information bits that the UE multiplexes with data information bits in a data channel. A transmission power of the control signal is determined based on DL Assignment Index (DAI) Information Elements (IEs) in DL Scheduling Assignments (SAs) that the UE detects through multiple transmission time intervals and through the multiple configured DL cells. The number of acknowledgement information bits in the data channel is determined based on a DAI IE of an UpLink (UL) SA associated with the transmission of the data channel.
Abstract:
User Equipment (UE) transmits an acknowledgement signal in response to the reception of multiple Scheduling Assignments (SAs) transmitted by a base station. The SAs consist of Information Elements (IEs) including a Transmission Power Control (TPC) IE providing adjustments for the transmission power of the acknowledgement signal. The TPC IE in a first SA of the multiple SAs is used to provide the previous adjustments and the TPC IEs in the remaining of the multiple SAs are used to provide an indication of the resource used for the transmission of the acknowledgment signal.
Abstract:
A User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system using a Coordinated Multi-Point transmission/reception (CoMP) scheme receives Downlink Control Information (DCI) including CoMP control information, determines a starting position of a data channel on wireless resources, based on starting position information of a data channel included in the CoMP control information and used in each of a plurality of cells, and receives data from the plurality of cells starting from the determined starting position.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided in which data is received from a base station on a downlink data channel. It is determined whether a scheduling type of the downlink data channel is persistent or non-persistent. In case that the scheduling type is non-persistent, ACK/NACK information for the data is transmitted to the base station on a resource which is determined based on a first ACK/NACK resource allocation scheme. In case that the scheduling type is persistent and the data is initial persistent data, ACK/NACK information for the data is transmitted to the base station on a resource which is determined based on the first ACK/NACK resource allocation scheme. In case that the scheduling type is persistent and the data is persistent data following the initial persistent data, ACK/NACK information for the data is transmitted to the base station on a resource determined based on a second ACK/NACK resource allocation scheme.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving downlink data channel signal transmission information in a cellular radio communication system using a Cooperative Multi-Point (CoMP) scheme are provided. In the downlink data channel signal transmission information transmission method, a Base Station (BS) transmits downlink data channel signal transmission information including information related to Resource Elements (REs) scheduled for a downlink data channel signal transmission to a User Equipment (UE), and transmits downlink data channel signal non-transmission information including information related to REs through which a downlink data channel signal is not transmitted among the REs scheduled for the downlink data channel signal transmission to the UE.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus method are provided for transmitting uplink information including acknowledgement information in a wireless communication system. The method includes determining whether transmission of acknowledgement information overlaps with transmission of uplink data in a time domain; multiplexing the uplink data and the acknowledgement information, in case that the transmission of the acknowledgement information overlaps with the transmission of the uplink data in the time domain; and transmitting the multiplexed uplink data and acknowledgement information to a base station. The acknowledgement information is located adjacent to a pilot for the uplink data, and the pilot is used for demodulation of the uplink data.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are described for wireless communication supporting carrier aggregation. The method includes monitoring, by a user equipment (UE), a downlink control channel in a first search space to receive first control information in the first search space; monitoring, by the UE, a downlink control channel in a second search space to receive second control information in the second search space; and receiving, by the UE, data on a first carrier based on the received first control information or on a second carrier based on the received second control information.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting an acknowledgement signal by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting a first acknowledgement signal corresponding to a first data packet in first transmission time intervals (TTIs), wherein transmission of another signal excluding the first acknowledgement signal in the first TTIs is prohibited.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are described for wireless communication supporting carrier aggregation. The method includes monitoring a first search space and a second search space on a primary component carrier, to receive a scheduling assignment including information indicating a component carrier on which data is transmitted, wherein a scheduling assignment for the primary component carrier is received in the first search space, and a scheduling assignment for a secondary component carrier is received in the second search space; and receiving the data on one of the primary component carrier and the secondary component carrier. The first search space for the primary component carrier is different from the second search space for the secondary component carrier.
