摘要： A recording apparatus provided with an interface for supplying an electric power to a connected electronic apparatus, and capable of performing a recording operation on a recording medium by the use of a recording head. A power source supplying unit supplies predetermined electric power to the electronic apparatus connected to the interface, and a detecting unit detects that the electronic apparatus has been connected. An acquiring unit acquires power information of the electronic apparatus, such as information indicating the nature of the interface or information indicating the power requirements. Based on detection of the connection by the detecting unit and the power information acquired by the acquiring unit, a control unit effects a change over of control of the recording operation.

The electrophotographic photosensitive member can keep charging lines from occurring.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a method of fabricating a substrate, and the like which excels in flatness, ten-point average roughness and surface roughness of substrates and flattens and smoothes the substrate surface. The method of fabricating a substrate includes a step of correcting flatness, a step of correcting surface unevenness in which the substrate surface is polished by means of a polishing pad with a hardness defined by JIS K 6253 of 70 or more, and a step of finishing surface roughness, to therefore achieve the above objectives. Such a substrate can be used for masks and mirrors of semiconductor exposure, discs for flying height tests of the hard-disk magnetic heads, and pharmaceutical test preparation, and the like.

This electronic apparatus comprises power source supplying means for supplying predetermined electric power to the first external device, detecting means for detecting that the first external device has been connected, and control means for changing over the control of the operation when the detecting means has detected the connection or non-connection of the first external device.

Furthermore, an insulating film that covers the surface of the detection electrode protects the detection electrode from chemical or physical change. Furthermore, a reference element group or a reference unit that produces a signal as a reference of the detection signal avoids the influence of noise. Furthermore, an energy-generating element and another signal source improve the accuracy of ink detection. A drive pulse which is insufficient to eject ink may be supplied to the heater to improve the accuracy of ink detection.
