摘要: Techniques for transmitting data with hybrid automatic retransmission (HARQ) and interference mitigation are described. In one design, a transmitter processes a packet of data in accordance with a rate and sends at least one transmission of the packet to a receiver with HARQ. In one design, the transmitter sends a trigger message to the receiver to trigger the receiver to send a request to reduce interference to interfering station(s). The transmitter may send a first transmission of the packet (i) after the trigger message, e.g., in consecutive frames of a single HARQ interlace, or (ii) along with the trigger message in the same frame. The number of transmissions to send for the packet may be dependent on whether the interfering station(s) reduce interference to the receiver. The packet transmission may terminate early if interference mitigation is successful or may terminate late if interference mitigation is unsuccessful.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for communicating between an access terminal (AT) and an Access Point (AP) are described. For communications over the air link, between an AP and an AT a PN (Pseudo-random Noise) code based address is used as an AP identifier, e.g., address. The PN code based address may be based on Pilot PN code based signals received from an AP. Thus, the PN based AP address may be determined from pilot signals received from an AP. The PN based AP address may be a shortened version of a PN code corresponding to an AP, a full PN code corresponding to an AP, or a value which can be derived in a known manner from a PN code corresponding to an AP.

摘要: Systems and methods are described that facilitate controlling transmission/reception time slots in a wireless multi-hop ad hoc network. A node, such as an access terminal or an access point, may select an identifier that corresponds to specific time slots during which nodes with that particular identifier may transmit and/or receive. Nodes that are one hop away from each other may select different identifiers in order to ensure that neighboring nodes do not transmit and/or receive during the same time slots. In this manner, interference caused and/or experienced by a given node may be reduced.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate wireless communication using resource utilization messages (RUMs), in accordance with various aspects. A RUM may be generated for a first node, such as an access point or an access terminal, to indicate that a first predetermined threshold has been met or exceeded. The RUM may be weighted to indicate a degree to which a second predetermined threshold has been exceeded. The first and/or second predetermined thresholds may be associated with various parameters associated with the node, such as latency, throughput, data rate, spectral efficiency, carrier-to-interference ratio, interference-over-thermal level, etc. The RUM may then be transmitted to one or more other nodes to indicate a level of disadvantage experienced by the first node.

摘要: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate transmitting beacon symbols of a beacon message such that a sequence of symbols can satisfy a linear constraint over a field where the field elements can be identified with carriers. In this regard, a coding scheme can be applied to a beacon message; the coding scheme can produce a plurality of beacon symbols to transmit on given subcarriers. A receiving device of the beacon symbols can decode a beacon message by receiving less than the total number of symbols in a beacon message and determining the remaining symbol subcarriers based on the linear constraint. Thus, more efficient decoding of beacons is facilitated as well as resolving beacon ambiguity by figuring out which symbols satisfy linear constraints for the symbols, and resolving time and frequency shift by detecting an offset that would result in satisfaction of the linear constraint.

摘要: Methods and apparatus related to management of active connections between an access terminal and access points are described. An access terminal maintains and manages active set information. The active set information identifies a set of access points with which the access terminal has an active connection. In some embodiments, the active set information includes allocated resources assigned to the access terminal corresponding to the different access points in the active set. Layer 2 Transport Tunneling is used, in various embodiments, to communicate connection request and/or connection response information, between access points. In some embodiments, the access terminal optionally assists in coordinating MAC resources allocated to the access terminal by different access points.
