    摘要: An application programmer's interface provides a facility for accessing metadata describing the content or attributes of information material. The application programmer's interface comprises a signalling protocol processor operable to receive a metadata string which includes a resource identifier providing an address of a metadata resource, and a file transfer processor operable to provide access to the metadata resource in accordance with a request from the application program. The signalling protocol processor provides an efficient facility for communicating the metadata string. The metadata string may be in the form of a mark-up language such as XML. The metadata resource may be for example a proxy version of the information material, such as a video proxy if the information material is video. Accordingly, the file transfer processor is arranged to provide efficient access to the video proxy using the address provided with metadata string. The address may be a Uniform Resource Identifier address allowing access to the resource from any network linked via the World Wide Web. The application programmer's interface therefore provides a standard interface format for making metadata and metadata resources available to application programs.

    摘要: A processing system 2 is described including a processor unit 4 and a memory 6. Diagnostic hardware 10 within the processing system 2 includes a shadow PC register 12 that stores a shadow program counter value following the true program counter value held within a program counter register 8 of the processor unit 4. The diagnostic hardware 10 is responsive to a program counter request signal from an external diagnostic system 14 to transfer a program counter value into a scan chain 16 from where it can be returned to the diagnostic system 14. The operation of the processor unit 4 is independent of any of the diagnostic operations and so true real time operation of the system may be observed and de-bugged.

    摘要: Embodiments of methods and systems for improved gridding of complex networks such as geological fractures are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, a method in accordance with the present disclosure includes adjusting a location of at least one non-fixed pillar of an initial grid, including: establishing a multi-point stencil of pillars that includes the at least one non-fixed pillar; selecting a fixed pillar of the initial grid toward which the non-fixed pillar is to be adjusted; determining a distance from each pillar of the multi-point stencil to the selected fixed pillar; calculating an inverse-distance weighted mean position based on the determined distances of the pillars of the multi-point stencil; and adjusting a position of the at least one non-fixed pillar to the inverse-distance weighted mean position.

    摘要: A method of generating an event log of game events associated with elements in a sporting event. The method includes tracking, within a sequence of video images, image features which correspond to respective elements in the sporting event and selecting, from the tracked image features, a first image feature which corresponds to one of the elements so as to designate that element as a selected element. The method further includes selecting a game event from an event list of possible game events for association with the selected element, and associating the selected game event with the selected element so as to generate the event log.

    摘要: A data processing apparatus is provided which is configured to select 2M selected identifiers within a possible range of up to 2N identifiers, where M≦N. The data processing apparatus comprises a selection storage unit configured to store N+1 identifier selection bits, wherein a position of a marker bit in the N+1 identifier selection bits determines M, and an identifier selection unit configured to determine the 2M selected identifiers. The 2M selected identifiers are defined by a base identifier and 2M−1 identifiers incrementally following that base identifier. N−M bits of the N+1 identifier selection bits form N−M most significant bits of the base identifier, and M trailing zeroes form the M least significant bits of the base identifier.
