摘要: Novel fluorinated unsaturated glycidyl ethers are prepared by reacting 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl-3-buten-2-ol or 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl-4-propen-2-ol with chloromethyloxirane in the presence of onium salts. The fluorinated unsaturated glycidyl ethers are, in turn, subject to addition reaction with hydrosilanes in the presence of transition metal catalysts, obtaining novel silicon-modified glycidyl ethers or fluorinated organic silicon compounds.

摘要: The process for preparing a high molecular weight organopolysiloxane comprises subjecting a hydroxyl-containing organosiloxane, as a starting material, to a dehydration condensation reaction in the presence of an acidic compound selected from the acidic compounds represented by the following general formulas (1) and (2): ##STR1## wherein in the formulas n is an integer of from 1 to 10, k is an integer of from 0 to 8, and 1 and m are each an integer of 0 or above, with 1+m being in the range from 1 to 10. The process is advantageous over the conventional methods in that compounds having toxicity or the like are neither used nor by-produced. The process also has the merit of easy control of the molecular weight of the intended organopolysiloxane.

摘要: Fluorinated cyclic organic silicon compounds of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, and R.sup.5 are independently selected from alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and n is an integer of from 1 to 6 are novel and susceptible to ring-opening polymerization to form chain siloxane polymers having improved properties. The cyclic compounds are produced by reacting disiloxane diols with fluorinated organic silicon compounds in the presence of amine catalysts.

摘要: The present polysilethylenesiloxane is a liquid polymer represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represent a lower alkyl group and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represent a perfluoroalkylethyl group, and n is an integer of 10 to 1,000. This polymer is quite useful as a major component of elastomer compositions having chemical resistance, electrical properties, and high strength.

摘要: A novel organosilicon compound is disclosed which is an isocyanato group-containing organosilane compound having one or two isopropenyloxy groups as represented by the general formula (CH.sub.2 .dbd.CCH.sub.3 --O).sub.n (CH.sub.3).sub.3-n Si(CH.sub.2).sub.3 NCO, in which n is 1 or 2. The compound can be prepared by heating a mixture of a chlorosilane of the formula (Cl).sub.n (CH.sub.3).sub.3-n Si(CH.sub.2).sub.3 NCO and acetone in the presence of a tertiary amine compound, e.g., triethyl amine, acting as an acceptor of hydrogen chloride and as a catalyst to effect the enolation reaction.

摘要: Novel room temperature curable organopolysiloxane compositions which are stable as ready mixed for a long period of time when kept in an air-tight container and readily curable at room temperature to form rubber-like elastomers when exposed to the moisture-containing air. The composition comprises a diorganopolysiloxane terminated at both chain ends with hydroxy groups, an organosilane having in a molecule 3 or 4 substituted or unsubstituted vinyloxy groups or a partial hydrolysis-condensation product thereof, and an organosilane or an organopolysiloxane having in a molecule at least one monovalent group expressed by the general formula of the type (R.sub.2 N).sub.2 C.dbd.N--, where R is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group. The compositions are free from toxicity and offensive odor as well as corrosiveness against various substrate surfaces, especially of metals.
