摘要: An external combustion engine comprising a pipe-shaped main container in which a working fluid is sealed flowably in a liquid state, a heated part formed at a location of one end of the main container and heating part of the working fluid in the main container in order to make it evaporate, a cooled part formed at a location next to the heated part toward the other end of the main container and cooling the vapor of the working fluid evaporated at the heated part in order to make it condense, an output unit communicated with the other end of the main container and converting the displacement of the liquid phase part of the working fluid to mechanical energy for output, and a controller alternately performing a heat storage mode making displacement of the liquid phase part of the working fluid stop in order to make the heated part store heat and an output mode allowing displacement of the liquid phase part of the working fluid and taking output from the output unit.

摘要: An external combustion engine provided with a plurality of evaporators and stabilized in output and efficiency, that is, an engine provided with at least one main container, a plurality of evaporators heating the working medium to evaporate, condensers cooling the vapor of the working medium evaporated at the evaporators to make it condense, an output part communicated with the other end of the main container and converting displacement of a liquid part of the working medium occurring due to fluctuations in volume of the working medium accompanying evaporation and condensation of the working medium to mechanical energy for output, a single main container pressure adjusting means adjusting an internal pressure of the main container, and controlling means for controlling the main container pressure adjusting means based on a lowest temperature in the temperatures of the plurality of evaporators constituting a minimum evaporator temperature.

摘要: An external combustion engine provided with a pipe-shaped main container with a heating portion and a cooling portion, an output part converting displacement of the liquid part of said working fluid generated due to the change in volume of said working fluid accompanying generation and condensation of said steam to mechanical energy for output, a venturi provided at a communicating part of the main container and an auxiliary container, a communicating member forming a communicating passage bypassing the venturi and communicating the main container and the auxiliary container, and a shutting means for closing the communicating passage at the time of normal operation and opening the communicating passage at the time of startup, wherein at the time of startup, the pressure loss at the communicating passage becomes smaller than a saturated steam pressure at the temperature of the heating portion.

摘要: An external combustion engine alternately repeating a first stroke of making a working fluid evaporate at a plurality of heating portions and making a liquid phase part of the working fluid displace toward an output part side and a second stroke of making the working fluid evaporated at the first stroke condense at the plurality of cooling portions and making the liquid phase part of the working fluid displace toward the side of the plurality of the heating portions and provided with inflow adjusting means for reducing differences in inflows among the plurality of the heating portions, wherein the inflow is defined as the amount of a liquid phase part of the working fluid flowing into the heating portions when the liquid phase part of the working fluid displaces from the output part side to the side of the plurality of the heating portions in the second stroke.

摘要: A steam engine has a pipe shaped fluid container, a heating and cooling devices respectively provided at a heating and cooling portions of the fluid container, and an output device connected to the fluid container, so that the output device is operated by the fluid pressure change in the fluid container, to generate an electric power. Turning portions of serpentine flow paths are disposed to face the heat-generating element. The flow paths are stacked in multiple layers in the direction from the heat-generating element to the flow paths, and a plurality of flow paths are disposed adjacent to the heat-generating element in the direction of fluid oscillation.

摘要: A steam engine has a looped fluid container, in which working fluid is filled. A heating device, a cooling device and an output device are arranged at the fluid container. A lower side valve is provided at a fluid passage of the fluid container between the heating device and the output device. An upper side valve is provided at another fluid passage of the fluid container between the cooling device and the output device. The upper and lower valves are respectively controlled to open and close the respective fluid passages at proper timings, to increase heat efficiency.

摘要: A stem engine has a fluid container, a heating device and a cooling device. The fluid container has an outer pipe having an upper closed end, and an inner pipe provided in the outer pipe and having a fluid inlet port through which the inside of the inner pipe is operatively communicated with the outside of the inner pipe. The inner pipe has a pressure control device at its lower end, and a fluid injection port at its upper end for injecting the working fluid in the inner pipe into a space defined between the inner pipe and the outer pipe, when the pressure in the inner pipe is increased. The working fluid injected into the space between the inner and outer pipes is heated and vaporized by the heating device, so that volumetric expansion of the working fluid takes place to increase fluid pressure in the fluid container. The vaporized steam is then cooled and liquidized by the cooling device and thereby the volumetric contraction takes place, so that the fluid pressure is decreased. By repeating the above volumetric expansion and contraction of the working fluid, the pressure change is given to the working fluid in the fluid container.

摘要: A liquid pump for circulating working fluid (water) in a Rankine cycle comprises a U-shaped fluid vessel having a bending pipe portion and a pair of straight pipe portions, wherein a heating device and a cooling device are provided at one of the straight pipe portions for heating and cooling the water in the fluid vessel. The liquid pump further has a discharge pipe portion and an inlet pipe portion, and check valves are respectively provided in the discharge and inlet pipe portions. The water is vaporized by a heating operation of the heating device to increase pressure of the working fluid in the pump, so that the working fluid is discharged. The vaporized working fluid is then cooled down by the cooling device to decrease the pressure of the working fluid in the pump, so that the working fluid is sucked into the pump.

摘要: To improve refrigerating efficiency by preventing working fluid flowing into a pulse tube from a high-temperature end side thereof from reaching a cooling part in a cryogenic refrigerator, a ball-shaped travel member which has almost the same cross-section as the cross section of the pulse tube is inserted into the pulse tube and moves together with the working fluid therein. In this arrangement, when the working fluid begins to flow into the pulse tube from a flow rate regulation part on the high-temperature end side of the pulse tube, the travel member located within the pulse tube moves toward a cooling part together with the working fluid flowing in the pulse tube. Since the travel member has almost the same cross-section as the cross-section of the pulse tube, there is no possibility that the working fluid flows through between the inner wall of the pulse tube and the travel member. Therefore, the travel member can reliably prevent the working fluid flowing into the high-temperature end of the pulse tube from reaching the cooling part, and thereby the refrigerating efficiency of the pulse tube refrigerator can be improved.
