Abstract:
The object of the invention is a stacking of fibrous pads, in particular impregnated pads, for skin care, capable of being contained in packaging. According to the invention, each pad is positioned in a staggered manner in relation to the juxtaposed pad(s) so as to promote the grasping by one of the edges of each pad situated on the top of the stack. The invention also relates to resealable packaging containing the stacking as well as to a manufacturing process for preparing the stacking.
Abstract:
The self-inflating article of the present invention contains a self-inflating personal care article contains, an inflatable bladder containing a substrate, at least one rupturable reservoir, a cleansing composition wherein said rupturable reservoir is positioned within the sack of the inflatable bladder. The self-inflating article surprisingly provides effective cleansing benefits to the skin and hair in a convenient, inexpensive, and sanitary manner.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a convenient and safe product and method of applying glycopyrrolate topically in order to reduce excessive sweating in localized areas for those who suffer from this condition. This invention also relates to combining oral and topical delivery of glycopyrrolate to reduce excessive sweating and minimize side effects. This invention also relates to a convenient and safe product and method of applying glycopyrrolate topically to areas of compensatory sweating after endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy.
Abstract:
The applicator for cosmetic products, or lipstick, is a single ply card with an embossed pattern that retains a sample of lipstick. The pattern shears lipstick from a tube onto the applicator. Also, the pattern assists in placing the cosmetic upon the applicator. In use, a woman selects a lipstick and moves the applicator, with the raised field down, across the lipstick source. The lipstick collects between the embossing of the raised field. A woman folds the applicator, moves it to her mouth, and transfers the sample to her lips. Following use, a woman refolds the applicator and encloses the raised field and sample residue.
Abstract:
A cosmetic pad is presented which is suitable for cleaning skin, in particular for peeling applications, and comprises a layer of fibers. At least one side of the cosmetic pad has a rough surface comprising abrasive particles which are sintered thereon.
Abstract:
An article for the application of a cosmetic product, particularly a makeup or skin care product, including at least one applicator having a first face constituting an application surface and a second face, opposite the first. The second face is at least partially covered by an adhesive layer, and the first face holds the product to be applied. A backing sheet covers the adhesive layer, before the first use, and the backing sheet includes a weakened zone or a cutout extending at least partially beneath the applicator and enables the sheet to be separated into at least two parts. The backing sheet projects beyond the applicator on at least one part of its periphery on each side of the weakened zone or the cutout.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a disposable scrubbing product for use in household cleaning or personal care applications. In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a cleaning tool including a handle and a rigid base to which the scrubbing product of the present invention may be attached to form a convenient cleaning tool. The scrubbing product of the invention is a multi-layer laminate product and generally includes at least two distinct layers, an abrasive layer and an absorbent fibrous layer such as a tissue layer made from papermaking fibers. The abrasive layer is formed primarily of polymeric fibers in a disordered or random distribution as is typical of fibers deposited in meltblown or spunbond processes so as to form an open, porous structure. In one embodiment, an anchoring agent, such as synthetic fibers, are incorporated into the tissue layer that form a bond with the abrasive layer when forming a laminate in accordance with the present invention.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disposable tissue structure which includes an upper unit having a plurality of compressed tissue storing units, each compressed tissue storing unit having a lower opened side and an upper closed side and being hollow and upwardly protruded from an upper surface of the upper unit for storing a compressed tissue therein which is compressed using a non-woven fabric, pulp or the like and is formed in a certain shape, so that the compressed tissue is changed to a disposable wet tissue when a certain liquid is absorbed to the compressed tissue, a middle unit which is sealingly adhered to a lower surface of the upper unit and has a certain thickness and tearing strength, the middle unit being forked in a flat plate shape, and a lower unit which is sealingly adhered to a lower surface of the middle unit and has a plurality of liquid storing units which are formed in the same construction as the inverted upper unit, the liquid storing unit having an opened upper side and closed lower side and being hollow and downwardly protruded from a lower surface of the lower unit for thereby storing a liquid having a certain function.
Abstract:
A disposable multi-purpose applicator or wipe designed to desorb and distribute a liquid while protecting persons using the applicator from contact with the liquid is disclosed. The wipe comprises (a) a first top layer of an absorbent material comprising at least one layer of non-woven material; (b) a second layer of liquid impermeable material underlying the first top layer, wherein the first top layer and second layer are joined together at their margins, or portions thereof, to form a peripheral seal, and (c) at least one liquid absorbed into the top layer. The applicator or wipe can be folded and the edges adhered in a peelable seal to enclose the absorbent layer(s) and the absorbed liquid in a liquid impermeable package comprised of the second layer of liquid impermeable material and the peelable seal. Also described are methods for preparing and using the applicator.
