Abstract:
A demountable screen for a car window which comprises a sheet of screening somewhat larger than the car window cut to the configuration of the car window; and a strip of male and female Velcro, one strip of which is mounted around the car window and the other strip is mounted to the screen around the periphery thereof so that the screen may be demountably attached to the window. In an alternate embodiment a strip of material having projections thereon that mate with the apertures in the screen is mounted around the window so that the screen may be placed over the window and against the projection, thereby demountably attaching the screen to the car window.
Abstract:
A window shade assembly including a curved shade frame and shroud in which a resilient shade having a curvature differing from that of the frame is installed. The shade has frictional means along the edges thereof to engage the frame and to enable restricted sliding motion therebetween. The shade also includes a handle and hidden locking means therefor to discourage handle theft.
Abstract:
Room dividers are provided having an edge at least four feet from a room floor and at least twenty inches from a ceiling, an open or perforated space above and adjacent the edge along at least a majority portion of the room divider, and a moveable shield configured such that fluid from one side of the room divider is substantially blocked from passing through the open/perforated space when the shield is aligned with the space. Curtains are provided which include fastener/s arranged along a screen and strut/s coupled to the fastener/s, wherein the screen extends at least 3 inches above the fastener/s and the strut/s extend at least 24 inches below the fastener/s. Other curtains include struts extending along less than an entire length of the screen but at least between a point approximately level with at least one of the fastener/s to at least 24 inches below the fastener/s.
Abstract:
A retractable cellular shade is illustrated in various embodiments to consist of a support structure that could assume numerous forms including cellular material, flexible sheets of material, tapes or ribbons, or flexible monofilaments or similar cords of natural or synthetic fibers with the support structure supporting a plurality of vanes or slats in various configurations and orientations. The movement of the vanes or slats is totally dependent upon movement of the support structure. The fabric so formed can be incorporated into a covering for architectural openings with the covering including a headrail with means for gathering the fabric material within the headrail.
Abstract:
A single-track stacking panel covering for an architectural opening has a headrail for mounting the covering above and in front of the opening, such as a window or door. The headrail has a single track. Suspended from the headrail and translatable therealong are panels oriented at a small angle relative to the headrail. When the covering is open, the panels form an overlappingly stacked array at one end of the headrail.
Abstract:
A modular track system for hanging a curtain, the track system consisting of modules or sections with attachments and accessories designed to adjust to varying environments and specifications. Track shape and length are adjusted by specifying various combinations of the specialized components created as part of the system. Complementing the track system is a curtain with integrated loop fasteners which allows the curtain to be attached and removed without removing the track. The system further preferably includes a side support for use in attached the track to a fixed support in the environment, and a guiderail on the side of the track on one or more track sections, the track and curtain all being coordinated to form an efficient and improved curtain hanging system.
Abstract:
Curtains are provided which have fastener/s and, in some cases, strut/s arranged along a screen. The strut/s extend to elevation/s below and/or above the fastener/s. An upper strut may have a lower degree of stiffness than a lower strut. In some cases, the fastener/s are arranged at least 20 inches from the screen's upper edge. Systems are described which include a disinfection apparatus and any of such curtains. Other systems include any of such curtains attached to an edge of a room divider. Easily assembled and disassembled room dividers are described which include cord/s and/or pole/s, installed or portable device/s for supporting the cords/poles, and fasteners for attaching a curtain to the cords/poles. A disinfection apparatus is described which includes a shield extending to an elevation at least two feet above a germicidal light source and borders at least one third of a continuous region surrounding the germicidal light source.
Abstract:
A drapery system for forming a window drapery of user-selected length. The system includes first and second drapery sections and at least one fastener for selectively and overlappingly attaching the drapery sections without stitching or sewing. A method of forming a drapery of user-selectable length is also provided.

Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for the manufacture of weighted ribbons are disclosed, and which weighted ribbons are for use in association with curtains and in other applications.
