摘要： A thermal therapy device mainly contains a handle member, a burning member, and an ashes storage member, cascaded together into a rod-like heat source suitable for hand gripping. A ventilating section is configured between the handle member and the burning member surrounded by an anti-leaking ring. A supporting member is installed inside the burning member to hold a fuel bar. A portion of heat produced by the burning of the fuel bar radiates to the wall of the burning member while another portion of the heat is stored in a heat storage element of the supporting member surround by a thicker wall of the burning member so that the heat could be maintained for an extended period of time. The ashes storage member is at the bottom of the device to collect the ashes from the burning of the fuel bar. The ashes storage member has an axial through hole for smooth air circulation.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for increasing the delivery rate of an androgen transdermal therapeutic system through the skin. An androgen transdermal therapeutic system can be applied to a patient's skin for delivery of the androgen. A temperature modification apparatus which is capable of generating controlled heat is applied approximate to the androgen transdermal therapeutic system. The heating from the temperature modification apparatus raises the temperature of the androgen transdermal therapeutic system and raises the temperature of the patient's skin to achieve an increased rate of delivery of androgen through the skin. The controlled heat can also be used to adjust dosage rates of the androgen transdermal therapeutic system and to mimic natural circadian patterns. The controlled heating may also be used to improve or regulate the release of androgen from injected/implanted extended/controlled release systems.

摘要： A portable heater comprising a double-wall vessel which forms a combustion chamber and encloses a suitable fuel. Air passages provide an airflow through the vessel for supporting combustion. Also included are endless conduits which entrap displaced fuel to prevent it from escaping from the heater through the air passages. Thus, fuel is prevented from escaping from the heater in all positions of the same in the event that the heater is dropped or otherwise upset. A set of cooling fins, encircling a fuel holder, cool the fuel to help maintain an even burn rate. The heater further includes an adjustable flame attenuator for selective heat control. At a low heat setting the invention may be used as a personal or close contact heater wherein an outer wall serves as a guard for preventing contact burns. A modified embodiment of the heater, for use in a tent, includes an air intake tube and a fuel for exchanging gases with the outside of the tent.

摘要： This is a catalytic warmer or heater which may be made in different sizes and shapes. A chimney section top has an opening through which a heatable material container is insertable, and which rests on an X-frame supported on punched-in tongues providing draft apertures for the chimney, while a lower spaced series of punched-in tongues rest on a catalyst containing cage which, in turn, rests on a flange of fuel cartridge section below having a wick extending up from the cartridge to be lighted temporarily to initiate the catalytic combustion process. The supporting X-frame has a depending cylinder providing a snuffer to snuff out the wick and permit the catalytic combustion to continue. The catalytic combustion is stopped when desired by merely turning the entire heater or warmer upside down and then removing the fuel cartridge containing section, now on top, from the chimney section, now on bottom, the catalyst cage remaining with the chimney section and thus separated from the cartridge fuel section.
