    摘要: Described are surgical drapes and system with universal application to heavy equipment useful in operating room environments. Surgical drape systems of the invention are particularly capable of covering patient support machinery such as hoists, lifts, and slings, whether the equipment is mobile or stationary, or configured as a floor-based or as an overhead support/lifting system. The drapes of the current invention provide for protecting the equipment from exposure to surgical biohazard waste e.g.; blood or body fluids, as well as providing the ability to use equipment that is otherwise not presently allowed to enter into an operating room because of the impossibility to render such equipment sterile. The drapes further allow for the holding, lifting and positioning of the patient whole body or limbs while maintaining sterility during prepping and surgical procedures. Also included are support slings for use with the drapes.

    摘要: Disclosed is a manual lifting sling apparatus (10) made of fabric, comprising: a bottom support part (12) used for supporting the buttocks and legs of a patient; a rear support part (11) joined to the bottom support part (12) to form an inclined angle and used for supporting the back of the patient; a left blocking part (13) and a right blocking part (14) restraining the patient respectively on the left and right sides, the left blocking part (13) and the right blocking part (14) both concurrently being joined with the bottom support part (12) and the rear support part (11); and at least two lifting handles (15) provided on both the left blocking part (13) and the right blocking part (14). The fabric used for the apparatus is a woven fabric or non-woven fabric, and is made of a non-biodegradable material or biodegradable polymer material. The apparatus has a simple structure, a rational design, a high degree of comfort and is low in cost, and can be a manual lifting sling apparatus deployed specially for each patient for finite use.

    摘要: A positioning device includes a planar sheet having first and second side edges and a top surface. A patient is positioned on the top surface where the first and second side edges are adjacent to the patient's legs. A first flexible substrate and a second flexible substrate are coupled to the respective first and second side edge of the sheet and are capable of wrapping around an adjacent leg of the patient creating a wrapped engagement. This wrapped engagement of the patient's legs prevents heat loss during pre-surgery, surgery, post-surgery or transport of the patient. Handles coupled to the sheet may be utilized for lifting or moving the sheet when the patient is supported by the sheet.

    摘要: A suspended patient-carrier/transport apparatus of the type including an overhead rail forming a horizontal track terminating at a track-end, and a carrier device supported by a carriage having a plurality of aligned rollers rideable along the track. The inventive suspended transport apparatus has a locking safety mechanism including a track-end detector and a locking device. The locking device is operatively connected with respect to the track-end detector which actuates the locking device to engage the rail thereby stopping the carriage on the track upon sensing an absence of the track beyond the track-end.
