摘要: A configurable service lift for servicing a utility vehicle in a cantilevered elevated condition. A carriage is carried on a vertical mast for travel between its lower and upper ends. The carriage independently supports the inboard and the outboard ends of the utility vehicle using at least one inboard platform and at least one outboard attachment carried on a boom. The inboard platform attached to the carriage and supports the inboard end of the utility vehicle. The boom extends longitudinally rearwardly to a distal lifting end upon with the outboard attachment is secured. The distal lifting end is moveable relative to the carriage in three directions—vertically, longitudinally and laterally. Retractable outrigger legs can be added for stability. The service lift can be a stationary fixture or configured with a towing package for mobile use. Optional tool holding accessories and an integrated waste oil receptacle are possible.

摘要: Method and apparatus for a portable hoisting system having an upright gin pole which is attached to the upright standing very tall pole or tower using a plurality of straps. Extending away from the gin pole is an angularly adjustable arm which is user selectable to be either; e.g., at a 90-degree angle or a 45-degree angle, which arm is supported by a brace connected between the extension arm and the upright gin pole. The gin pole is hollow on its inside which allows a load line to travel through the interior of the gin pole from its lower end to its upper outlet end and includes a plurality of pulleys which allow the load line to travel through the inside of the hoisting system. Also included is a heel block or the like wherein one end of the load line is connected to a capstand hoist disposed on the front or rear end of a vehicle and a ball with hook for supporting a load. Also included optionally is a tag line connected to the load line and being held by a ground member for helping to control the movement of the load.

摘要: A method for retrieving storage racks in a tank freezer includes positioning a retrieval crane adjacent to the tank freezer such that a base of the retrieval crane is positionable underneath a bottom wall of a tank body. The retrieval crane includes a boom extending upwardly and laterally outwardly over the base so that a retention hook at a free end of a cable associated with the boom may be extended or retracted relative to the tank freezer. More specifically, the cable may be moved to extend the hook through the opening of the tank freezer into a storage space, and then retract the hook to lift and then hold a selected storage rack in a hoisted position. The method avoids the use of manual hoisting of storage racks, and the retrieval crane may be used with any of a plurality of similar tank freezers located in a larger facility.
