A two-player board game of chance and strategy, that uses sixteen direction-oriented game pieces, and fifty Additional Movement playing cards on a chess-like playing board. Each player is dealt seven or eleven cards, all concealed from view with only one card revealed during play. The game piece movements are used to capture or position the game pieces (1), for capture splays. The six different types of direction-oriented game pieces and their attributes change direction each time they reach the limits of the board on either opposing side. When a card is played, both the standard game piece movement and the matching card's movement (2) are taken together and represent one extended move (3,4). The game is won-by capturing the opponent's Lion type game piece. Additional variations include a four-player version and Level-Four Play.

The present invention is generally directed to a game for teaching vocabulary playable as a competition between two or more players having comparable or disproportionate vocabulary skills, the game comprising a game board with a play surface including a start point space, an end point space and a plurality of movement spaces arranged linearly to form a sequentially predetermined play path, select ones of the plurality of movement spaces including a first indicia for indicating a play command to a player, a set of game cards, each of the game cards including at least one vocabulary clue and a corresponding answer, a select one of the vocabulary clue of a select game card corresponding to a difficulty level which matches a vocabulary skill level assigned to a player, a set of PASS cards, each of the PASS cards being distributable to at least one opposing player when a player passes a turn, and redeemable by a passing player possessing a PASS card, a plurality of play pieces configured for marking movement on the play path between the start point space and the end point space, each of the plurality of play pieces being assignable to a player, and means for randomly generating a number to determine the number of movement spaces to move a current player's play piece along the play path. A board game in which a game can be developed in an unexpected way can be provided. Plural dice selected from among plural dice which can be unfolded two-dimensionally are rolled. According to the results of the rolling of the dice, a die is unfolded and placed on the play field. On the unfolded dice a player places his/her piece. Also according to the results of the rolling of the dice, a player saves costs necessary for pursuing a game on an Addition/Deduction Unit. On the cards respectively corresponding to pieces, the Group, Level, Ability etc. of the pieces are indicated. A player makes his/her piece advance or attack the opponent's piece by paying the saved costs, and at the same time makes his/her piece defend itself by paying the saved costs as well. A player who succeeds in giving pre determined damage to a specific piece of the opponent wins a game.

A Tangram game assembly constituted by two sets of Tangram pieces capable of creating a variety of geometric or representational figures. Also included is a deck of cards, each having printed thereon a Tangram puzzle figure and the solution thereto at a position at which it is obscured in play. In play, a card is withdrawn from the deck and its front face presented to the players who with their respective sets of pieces then race to recreate the figure. The player who is first to succeed is awarded the card. Cards in the deck are played, the player who gains the greatest number being the winner. Any number of cards may be played depending on how long the players would like the game to last.

The tile projections are adapted to fit in a recess on a play tile. Optional play cards are used to provide clues or shape designations and scores. Shapes are played to form a puzzle, with each player selecting where to place a shape, thereby forming a unique puzzle each time the game is played. Tiles must fill every play space on a shape to form a word or numerical/shape sequence. Gameplay may be varied based on age and skill level, such as limiting the word or sequence direction to left-right, up-down, diagonal, or a combination thereof, or forming pathways with the puzzle.

This invention combines the use of double sided reversible informational wrist badges (badges) with trading card games. The badges are worn on the inside and the outside of the wrist and coupled with the trading cards introduce a further degree of randomness in the game play. The objective of the game is to reduce the health indicator of the other player to zero, where the player is forced to play another character until one player remains with no surviving characters. Badges are utilized in primarily two or more ways, technical data is labeled on each side of the battle badge, the player turns the badge over to show the attribute they wish imbued on their character (such as additional health, strength, aid another character, shields/defense, and offense/attacks). Badges may also be shifted from the front to the back of the wrist to communicate a further degree of game play information.
