Abstract:
A game apparatus may include a plurality of polygonal tiles. Each tile may include a set of indicia positioned adjacent each side of the tile, and each set of indicia may include at least one pip, and at least one non-pip. Each side of a tile may include an identical number of indicia.
Abstract:
A playmat system includes a series of isosceles right triangle tiles and edge tiles. Advantageously, the triangle shaped tiles and edge tiles have one or of two color or patterns or more. The triangle shaped tiles and edge tiles have complementary edges which allow the triangle tiles to be interlockingly engaged with one another along either hypotenuse edges or like edges to thereby produce a number of different patterns when laid out and interconnected.
Abstract:
A playing cards deck and play method including a plurality of first edge value indicia; a plurality of second edge value indicia; a plurality of third edge value indicia; and a plurality of four edged cards, each edge among the cards' edges displaying one of the indicia among the first, second, and third pluralities of edge value indicia, wherein the play method includes successive playing by card game contestants of cards among the plurality of four edged cards, the successive play including placements of the cards upon a play surface, and arranging the cards so that at least a first edge value indicia of each successively played card abuts at least one matching edge value indicia of a previously played card; points being awarded to each contestant who completes a square matrix of cards, and the contestant having the highest points being declared the winner.
Abstract:
A variety of sets of interconnecting plane tiles having shapes, patterns on the faces of some of the tiles and interconnecting elements to be able to construct all 17 plane periodic patterns, the five Platonic solids and the thirteen Archimedean solids are described. The tiles include connectors that enable constructing plane patterns as well as three-dimensional solids.
Abstract:
There is provided a design and construction toy having a plurality of relatively rigid elements, wherein each element has: a first side member and a second side member, with each of the side members having an outer face, an inner face, a top face and a bottom face, and the first side member and second side member are joined at ends thereof to form an apex and to provide a formed equilateral triangle with an open base; a predetermined distance between the outer face and the inner face, whereby a derived distance is established between the inner face and the outer face along the juncture of the joined ends at the apex; a lateral distance between the top face and the bottom face which is at least 0.1 and no more than 5.0 times the predetermined distance; and a height from the base to the apex of the formed equilateral triangle which is substantially equal to the height of a formed triangle having the greatest height, less an amount substantially equal to the sum of the said derived distances of all of the formed triangles having a greater height. With this arrangement, a plurality of the elements are nestable, outer face to inner face, and a nested plurality of the elements form an equilateral triangle.
Abstract:
A Tangram game assembly constituted by two sets of Tangram pieces capable of creating a variety of geometric or representational figures. Also included is a deck of cards, each having printed thereon a Tangram puzzle figure and the solution thereto at a position at which it is obscured in play. In play, a card is withdrawn from the deck and its front face presented to the players who with their respective sets of pieces then race to recreate the figure. The player who is first to succeed is awarded the card. Cards in the deck are played, the player who gains the greatest number being the winner. Any number of cards may be played depending on how long the players would like the game to last.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional puzzle comprising a plurality of cuboid puzzle blocks together forming a predetermined three-dimensional puzzle shape, wherein each puzzle block comprises either a male or a female connecting element on each of at least three sides of the puzzle block; wherein the connecting elements for the respective puzzle block are configured such that each puzzle block is unique.

Abstract:
Game piece (1) comprising three or more sphere-shaped elements (6) which are connected to each other, wherein the elements (6) are divided into two or more groups (7, 8, 9) each consisting of at least one element (6), wherein the elements (6) within one group (7, 8, 9) are immovably connected to each other and wherein each group (7, 8, 9) is rotationally connected to at least one other group (7, 8, 9), and wherein there is at least one group (7, 8, 9) with two or more elements (6).
Abstract:
Apparatus comprising a set of shapes, the shapes derived from a hexagonal footprint, and wherein for each of the shapes, at least some of the vertices of the hexagon joined with straight lines to define a perimeter of a respective shape of the set.
