Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter apparatus having a plurality of filter elements (21) which can be accommodated in a filter housing (1) with a filter inlet (11) for fluid to be filtered and a filter outlet (13) for the filtered fluid, wherein during the operation of the device at least one of the filter elements (21) can be backflushed by means of a backflushing device for cleaning its effective surface, which backflushing device includes a pressure control device (7) to support the backflushing, characterized in that the filter elements (21) are each accommodated in an element housing (30), the element housings (30) with the filter elements (21) performing the filtration process are connected to the fluid outlet (13) by their one open end (33) in a fluid conducting manner, and the element housing (30) of the respective backflushable filter element (21) is exclusively connected with its one open end (33) to the pressure control device (7).
Abstract:
Fluid treatment elements substantially inhibit electrical charge imbalances and/or build-ups of electrical charges. A fluid treatment element may comprise a multilayer composite including an electrically conductive fibrous matrix, having an upstream side and a downstream side, disposed on a porous substrate, also having an upstream side and a downstream side, which supports the fibrous matrix. The fibrous matrix may include a combination of conductive and nonconductive fibers. The multilayer composite may also include a drainage layer positioned along one of the upstream side of the fibrous matrix and the downstream side of the porous substrate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an assembly with a filter housing and at least one filter cartridge. The at least one filter cartridge is tubular, has a tube wall provided with a filter and comprises a central discharge channel with a discharge connection for discharge of filtered medium. The tube wall has a filter through which the medium to be filtered is able to flow transversely to the tube wall. The filter housing has a filter chamber, surrounded by a side wall, in which the at least one filter cartridge is accommodated with the longitudinal direction parallel to the side wall. The invention furthermore is directed to a filter cartridge intended for such an assembly.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for filtering a gas or liquid stream such as a natural gas stream. The apparatus includes a closed vessel having a longitudinally extending length, an initially open interior, an inlet port at one extent and an outlet port at an opposite extent thereof. A partition located within the vessel interior divides the vessel interior into a first chamber and a second chamber. At least one opening is provided in the partition. A filter element is disposed within the vessel to extend from within the first chamber. A special seal structure formed of a resilient material and having conically shaped sidewalls is used to seal against one end of the filter element as well as forming a dynamic seal with the vessel riser in use.
Abstract:
A multi-stage particulate filter, wherein the first stage of filtration comprises a coarse filter to remove the larger impurities. The second stage will remove the finer impurities from the liquid (oil) that have passed through the first stage (coarse filter). The first and second stage filter shall reside within a single housing. The housing will have both an inlet port for receiving the unfiltered fluid (oil) and an discharge port for passing the filtered fluid (oil) back into the system. The first stage, or coarse filter element has an opening adjacent the inlet, such that fluid entering through the inlet will first pass through the coarse filter element.
