Abstract:
The dispenser comprises a reservoir and a pump that is activated by a tappet, comprising a pump body that includes a tubular part with a smaller gauge than that of the reservoir, covering the piston, and an annular spacer by means of which it is tightly mounted against the inner wall of the reservoir such as to define an annular chamber for the product, which communicates with a dosage chamber located in the bottom of the reservoir.
Abstract:
A dispenser for dispensing a metered volume of a fluid product having a storage chamber for storing the fluid product in; an outlet orifice through which the fluid product is dispensable from the dispenser; and a dispensing mechanism adapted in use to dispense a metered volume of the fluid product from the storage chamber through the outlet orifice is disclosed. The dispensing mechanism has a metering chamber which is adapted in use to provide the metered volume of the fluid product for discharge through the outlet orifice. The metering chamber is movable between a first volumetric state, in which the metering chamber has a first volume greater than the metered volume and is in fluid communication with the storage chamber such that, in use, an excess volume of the fluid product consisting of the metered volume and a surplus volume is transferable to the metering chamber from the storage chamber, and a second volumetric state, in which the metering chamber has a second volume less than the first volume and no less than the metered volume and is isolated from the storage chamber such that, in use, the metered volume of the fluid product is contained in the metering chamber ready for dispensing through the outlet orifice.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dosing device that comprises a medium reservoir (S) and a pump device for dosing and dispensing a medium stored in said medium reservoir. The pump device is associated with a pump chamber, and with at least one inlet and one outlet valve. According to the invention, the inlet valve is configured as a sliding valve (10, 12) which, in its closed position, can be displaced by a dosing stroke that defines a dosing volume for the pump chamber (17). The invention further relates to the use of said dosing device for dispensing pharmaceutical active substances, especially for nasal administration.
Abstract:
1. A dosing device with a pump device. 2.1. A dosing device with a pump device and with an operating handle which is provided for the pump device is known. 2.2. According to the invention, the operating handle (20, 20a, 20b) is produced as a separate component and fixed to the pump device. 2.3. Applicable for pharmaceutical agents.
Abstract:
A delivery container has a casing filled with a chemical liquid and a cap mounted on an upper end of the casing. A hollow cylinder having slots is disposed in and integrally formed with a lower portion of the casing. A tubular piston with a check valve is slidably disposed in the cylinder. The piston is connected to the cap, which has a discharge port, by a hollow shaft which extends vertically through an upper portion of the casing, so that vertical movement of the cap can be transmitted via the shaft to the piston. Inasmuch as the cylinder is disposed in the bottom of the casing, the cylinder is filled at all times with the chemical liquid which is supplied via the slots by gravity. The chemical liquid does not need to be drawn upwardly, and can be discharged in a constant quantity from the discharge port in one cycle of operation of the delivery container.
Abstract:
Dosing dispenser for flowable media with a pump that may be manually handled and is integrated in a medium container, with a piston (140), which closes the container (110) fluid-proof to the outside and with a container that is displaced between an upper position and a lower position. A piston chamber (130) adjoins the inner chamber (180) of the container, and is provided in the container bottom (120). The piston chamber has an open upper end aligned to the piston. A connecting channel (150) extends through the piston and provides a fluid-communication to the outside of the container. A spring (160) urges the piston into its upper position, wherein the piston (140), in its upper position, is situated at a distance from the piston chamber (130; 230; 330; 430) and immerses during its downwards movement in its lower position into the piston chamber and, at the same time, closes the adjoining inner chamber (180) of the container from the piston chamber.
Abstract:
An apparatus is used to apply medicament to an eye and stores the medicament in a medicament chamber. A nozzle is coupled in fluid communication with the medicament chamber and is formed by an outer nozzle portion and an inner nozzle portion received within the outer nozzle portion. A seam is formed by the interface of the inner nozzle portion and the outer nozzle portion and is normally in a closed position to prevent the passage of medicament through the nozzle. The seam opens in response to the flow of medicament of sufficient pressure into the seam to permit the passage of medicament through the nozzle for release into the eye.
Abstract:
An apparatus is used to apply medicament to an eye and stores the medicament in a medicament chamber. A nozzle is coupled in fluid communication with the medicament chamber and is formed by an outer nozzle portion and an inner nozzle portion received within the outer nozzle portion. A tight interface is defined between the inner nozzle portion and the outer nozzle portion and is normally in a closed position to prevent the passage of medicament through the nozzle. The interface opens in response to the flow of medicament of sufficient pressure into it to permit the passage of medicament through the nozzle for release into the eye.
Abstract:
A manually-operated dispensing pump for attachment to a container. The pump has a cylinder and a plunger with first and second skirts slidable in the cylinder. The plunger moves in one direction in an intake stroke and is manually-operated to move in the opposite direction in a pressurizing stroke. The plunger has a passage extending to a spray head on its end away from the cylinder for passing flowable product to the spray head. The pump has structure for connecting the interior of the container above the level of the product in it to the atmosphere during each pressurizing stroke of the plunger.
Abstract:
An apparatus for simultaneously delivering more than one kind of medicament to an eye, without premixing of the medicaments within the apparatus. The apparatus includes a special nozzle assembly which precludes reentry of medicament expelled from the nozzle to prevent commingling of the medicaments. In this way, dosages of two or more medicaments may be simultaneously delivered to an eye without the need for creating a stable premixture of the medicaments.
