Abstract:
A device for packaging and applying a liquid composition, the device comprising: a container containing the composition; and a rotary applicator member having at least one dispenser orifice configured to open when the upstream composition is put under sufficient pressure, and to close when the pressure decreases.
Abstract:
A hand-held, battery powered liquid applicator having an on-board reservoir. An electric motor drives a piston in the reservoir via a pinion gear member and rack gear. A gear shifter may disengage the pinion gear member from the rack gear. A battery compartment may have a door has recess to enable a user to grasp a dry cell located farthest from the door. The rack gear may have modified profile teeth at the end of travel to allow the pinion gear member to slip when the piston is urged past the end of travel. The piston may have a length substantially equal to a characteristic length of the reservoir. Liquid may be drawn into the reservoir by powered or manual retraction of the piston and liquid may be delivered from the reservoir to an applicator head by powered or manual motion of the piston into the reservoir.
Abstract:
A kit of parts including a paint applicator and a supply part for attachment to a paint container, through which paint may be supplied to the paint applicator. The paint applicator includes an applicator head; a substantially rigid elongate support having a hollow interior for supplying paint to the applicator head; and an inlet part through which paint may be drawn into the hollow elongate support. The inlet part and the supply part are arranged to fit together such that paint may be drawn through them and into the hollow elongate support. The inlet part and/or the supply part includes an indicator arranged to indicate when they are fully fitted together for use.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved roller for painting difficult-to-access rough surfaces, comprising a roller formed by a tube, one end of which is provided with perforations from which the paint is released in order to wet a plush roller disposed at said end. Each end of the plush roller is provided with a pierced cover having a central perforation through which the tube extends and a rough section which provides grip when a cover is being installed or removed. The invention also includes an open half-pipe casing including at least one perforation on each side thereof, through which the tube extends, and a V-channel at the longitudinal edges thereof, into which bristles are inserted. In addition, an extendable/retractable handle is added to the lower part of the base of the tube.

Abstract:
The applicator (1, 1′) of a cosmetic product (6) includes a manual gripping element (2) and an application member (3) of the product (6), and is characterized in that: a) the application member (3) includes at least one fixed element (30) and one rotating element 131) , forming an application roller free to rotate about the fixed element (30) about a rotation axis (10), b) the fixed element (31) is typically fixed to the manual gripping element (2), c) the fixed element (30) and the rotating element (31) are fixed by reversible or irreversible cooperation. Advantages are easier application resulting in a different appearance.
Abstract:
A fluid applicator assembly can include a frame, a first roller connected to the frame, a second roller connected to the frame, a fluid supply tube connected to the frame, a supply line, and a handle bar pivotally connected to the frame. The second roller connects the frame spaced from the first roller The supply tube connects to the frame spaced from the first roller and includes a discharge opening. The fluid supply line communicates with the fluid supply tube and an associated paint source. The handle bar is adapted to attach to an associated handle for maneuvering the assembly.
Abstract:
A paint supply device includes a container defining a paint-storing chamber therein, a piston-and-cylinder assembly, and a finger-holding unit connected to the container. The container has a top threaded portion, and a cap secured to the top threaded portion. The piston-and-cylinder assembly includes a cylinder extending into the paint-storing chamber, and a hollow piston rod extending into the cylinder for withdrawing paint from the container to a paint applicator and having a top end disposed above the cap. A connecting head is connected to the top end of the piston rod, and is adapted to be connected to the paint applicator. The finger-holding unit has a hook member defining at least one finger-receiving recess disposed between the connecting head and the cap.
Abstract:
An apparatus for painting a surface, having an absorbent paint applicator containing paint and contacting the surface; a tube filled with paint and connected to the applicator; and a metering device for incrementally metering paint onto the applicator from the tube. The metering device has a plunger reciprocating within the tube, with the plunger having a handle. The plunger can either be incrementally advanced within the tube by rotating the handle, thereby incrementally dispensing paint onto the applicator, or the plunger can be manually retracted within the tube to fill the tube with paint and manually advanced within the tube to dispense the paint. The plunger is helically grooved along its length and a converter translates rotation of the handle into linear motion of the plunger, thereby advancing the plunger within the tube.
Abstract:
A device for applying a coating comprising a multi-component cartridge comprising at least two cylindrical cartridges, each cylindrical cartridge comprising an aperture and an open filling end that is disposed opposite the aperture and that is slidingly sealed by a cartridge piston seal, a static mixing nozzle in fluid communication with each aperture, and at least one paint applicator selected from the group consisting of a roller, a brush and a spray tip, in fluid communication with the nozzle, wherein at least one flexible hose is disposed between and in fluid communication with the cartridge and the nozzle.
