摘要： An adjustable frame for carrying vehicles between elongate upright sides includes, on each side, a forward end and a rearward end, each end including an upper and lower rail section joined by elongate brace members, where the respective ends are separated from one another and a length-adjusting insert is carried between such ends to selectively permit adjustment of the position of the forward end relative to the rearward end while maintaining the ends in end-to-end alignment. On each side of the frame, preferably at least one of the upper rail sections has an end portion defining an open-ended hollow tube extending lengthwise of that side within which an elongate arm of the length-adjusting insert is slidably moveable so that structures on the outside surfaces of the rail sections will not interfere with length adjustment. Preferably, on each side, the upper and lower rail sections of the respective ends together define longitudinally aligned upper and lower pairs of open-ended tubes in which are slidably received an upper and lower pair of arms of the length-adjusting insert, thereby permitting the insert to remain permanently in position on each side regardless of the length selected. Preferably, also, the forward and rearward ends of the frame are lockable to the arms of the insert while keeping the insert centered longitudinally with respect to each side.

摘要： A rack which can be used in connection with the storage and transportation of pipe and other tubular goods. The rack is adjustable to accommodate many different types of tubular goods, and keep such different tubular goods segregated from one another. A horizontal track is provided with at least two vertical divider posts which can slide along the length of the track. The vertical divider posts can be locked in place at desired intervals along the horizontal track, thereby defining a plurality of compartments for holding pipe or other tubular goods.

摘要： A trailer for a vehicle having a front, two opposing sidewalls, a rear for unloading of materials, and a floor extending from the front to the rear. The opposing sidewalls are each constructed of two or more sheets of metal welded together along one or more horizontal seams that run longitudinally from the front to the rear of the trailer. The horizontal seams are covered by horizontal rails on the interior surfaces of the sidewalls. Additional horizontal rails on the interior surfaces may be included to provide added support for the sidewalls. The floor slopes downward from the front to the rear of the trailer and is wider at the rear than the front in order to promote the unloading of the trailer cargo. One sheet can be thicker than the other sheet for better wear and use.

摘要： An open frame structure for attaching to a storage crate in place of an end wall thereof including a base member, two side bars, and a restraining member. The two side bars are attached to opposite ends of the base member and disposed substantially transverse thereto. The first and second side bars of the frame member define a substantially open access port therebetween. The restraining member connects the side bars and includes a central connector to allow separation thereof into two segments. The open frame structure may optionally also include a hinge means. The hinge means includes a plurality of flanges affixed to the base member and extending downwardly therefrom. Each of the flanges has a hole formed therethrough for receiving a hinge pin therethrough. The hinge means may alternatively include a cross plate attached to the storage crate, and a hinge pivotally attached to the cross plate and the base member. Additionally, if a larger size crate is desired, the invention provides a reinforced storage crate assembly formed by connecting end-to-end two or more storage crates including a first storage crate, a second storage crate, a binding means, and at least one stiffening member. The storage crates each have an open end formed by removal of an end wall, and are attached at the open ends by a binding means. Each stiffening member reinforces a corresponding side wall of the storage crate assembly. Each stiffening member and attaching hardware are sufficiently recessed into a corresponding storage crate side wall to allow the storage crate assembly to be collapsibly folded without interference between any of the side walls, stiffening members, or hardware.

摘要： An open sided, open top cargo container for highway, railroad or ocean transport of cargo, the container being adapted to have cargo secured thereto and also covered as necessary to be held secure and protected from the rigors of travel and from the elements. The container is adapted to be transferred with its load from one vehicle to another, as from a truck trailer to an ocean going ship. The cargo container comprises a main centrally located longitudinal load carrying beam, extending the full length and reaching the full height of the cargo container. A load carrying framework is cantilevered laterally outwardly in opposing directions from the lower portion of the main beam. There are two end walls at opposite ends of the main beam, and a pair of laterally spaced longitudinal stiffening members for the cantilevered framework. The cargo load is placed on the lower framework between the end walls with the vertical loads from the cargo being transferred through the cantilevered framework into the main center beam. The vertical web portion of the main center beam both provides a centering function to maintain the load in proper position, and interconnects the widely spaced upper and lower flange portions of the main center beam in load bearing relationship.
