摘要： An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming part; a paper dust collecting roller that collects paper dust from a sheet; a conveying roller that is opposed to the paper dust collecting roller and conveys the sheet; a paper dust removing member that contacts the paper dust collecting roller for removing the paper dust therefrom; a supporting member that extends in a width direction of the sheet; a swing shaft for swinging the supporting member; and a pressing member that presses the supporting member for contacting the paper dust removing member with the paper dust collecting roller. The supporting member includes: a guiding surface that contacts the sheet conveyed along the conveying path for guiding the sheet toward the image forming part along the conveying path; and a paper dust receiving part which receives the paper dust removed by the paper dust removing member.

摘要： An image forming unit includes an elastic roller that rotates in contact with a recording medium to apply a force thereto, a rigid roller disposed facing the elastic roller and that contacts the recording medium, and a pressing device that applies pressing force to each end of the elastic roller or the rigid roller in an axial direction to press one of the elastic roller and the rigid roller against the other. The elastic roller includes a straight roller portion disposed in a specified region extending from a center of the elastic roller toward each end of the elastic roller in the axial direction, and taper roller portions that sandwich the straight roller portion in the axial direction. Each taper roller portion has an outside diameter decreasing from an outer end of the straight roller portion toward an outer end of the elastic roller in the axial direction.

摘要： The present invention is an electrostatographic reproduction apparatus which includes a primary imaging member for producing an electrostatic latent image on a receiver, a development station for applying toner particles to said latent image which forms a developed toner image on the receiver. A fuser assembly is included for fixing the developed toner image, to form a fused toner image on the receiver. A transport member is provided for transporting the receiver to or from the fuser assembly, the transport member having a substrate bearing an oil-absorbing layer that includes transparent alumina inorganic particles of siloxane coated gamma-alumina, dispersed in an organic binder, and a fluorosurfactant.

摘要： In a device for supplying a printing substrate web to an internal transport path of the printing substrate web of a printing device, a device accepts the printing substrate web from the printing substrate web source. A drive unit is provided at an output of the device and draws the printing substrate web from the device. A buffer device having a buffer reservoir is provided at an output of the drive unit. The buffer reservoir has a negative pressure device that generates a negative pressure in a buffer reservoir. The negative pressure acts on the printing substrate web to pull the printing substrate web drawn by the drive unit into the buffer reservoir and thereby tensions the printing substrate web before it is supplied to the internal transport path.
